...a very dangerous individual, i guess, judging by the number of police officers surrounding him

So a Russian man and previously an Indian man seemingly entered Thailand without going thru immigration, but were caught attempting to leave Thailand?

Surely if they knew they didn't have the correct stamp in their passports, they knew they would be apprehended?

Something is definitely missing here?

Longstayers  that somehow got a new passport while away from home ?? Many Russians and Indians arrive every day in Thailand.

So, he invaded Thailand and annexed Phuket?

... after which he ate handful of generic Viagra and went on raping rampage toward young boys and old grandpas. He stole 999 washing machines and even more ceramic toilets. Two major witnesses reported to UN officials: motosai Ding and tuk-tuk Dong.

Jokes aside: nobody need a "permit" to stay in Thailand.

most likely: he didn't transfer his visa into new passport. generally it is not a big deal: somehow we are all into so-called "computer" of immigration. they probably forgot to plug it in (according to *****)

Had a russian who entered legal and had 2 year visa (education) so far, came to do the border run with our visa run trip down south too, the guy said he didn't exist in the database and next thing I knew he was arrested and gone. 700 day overstay.

Turned out to be a <deleted> up mistake on immi side, at the time of his extensions. But you should see him look like a white ghost in seconds, he didn't even had belongings with him.

Yes. I've heard similar stories over years. sometimes IO just don't bother to search into database for name. very sad stories.

Looks like entering illegally is his only crime, and considering that he tried to depart at the airport and not through the jungle, I guess he wasn’t aware that he entered illegally.

My guess is: Somebody at the airport left a door open and on arrival he accidentally left the airport without passing immigration.

This is of course a major security breach, and somebody in charge might lose face over it, so better just blame it on the foreigner.

I am with you, that was my first thought too. The report doesn't specify whether he had a fake stamp-in or no stamp at all and he was only not registered in the computer system. If he didn't had any arrival stamp at all, normally the first hotel would have raised some alarm bells by the immigration thru the TM-30 reporting system.

Or is this also a wast of time and resource like so many things in this country.

Furthermore, if he had willingly entered Thailand illegally why would he try to leave thru an offical immigration checkpoint.

So many questions and like always no real answer.

nice big chest tattoos.....for 24, that's a good start for Pattaya!!!

I got a big 18 on my back, so I stay away from Central America!!!!!!

At 24, maybe it's "fun" to sneak-in and those weird little books with stamps are for the old people!!!

24, war, run.......As my previous students like to tell me, "Teacher, I'm a Tik Tok creator!"    Oh, wow!!!  So you're telling me you know how to do very simple stuff with your phone????   lol

24..........................If only I would live to see this guy at 58.    Good be great, or not.........this might be a very important lesson or the start of something more.....
