Daily News Thai Caption: Beloved duck disappears

 

Phuket social media was abuzz after a shop owner posting under the name Mtamduda Bankuan on Facebook advertised a "farang's" plight.

 

The foreigner had lost his beloved Muscovy duck and was offering a 4,000 baht reward for its return.

 

The shop owner told Daily News they had taken pity on the foreigner and put the sign up that was in Thai and Burmese.

 

The duck- that answers to the name "Maa Ning"  - went missing from near the temple of Wat Khanaen near a "dog hotel".

It's a female.

 

Netizens were full of comment but feared that the farang's duck was already curry or had been eaten by an animal.
