Right.  You don't care if Thailand is denied democracy and if corrupt military rule holds the country back, so long as they keep those pesky democracy advocates off the streets.

I like the Thai people and think they deserve better.  You obviously have a different opinion.

What type of Democracy might you be speaking of?

Surely, nothing resembling those so called Liberal Democracies [the world over] that truly don't engulf anything democratic whatsoever.

These fanciful ideals that are bandied about and referenced to what a Democracy might be are quite amusing.

Repeated over and again.

Why is PHEU THAI not banned from politics? Is there any doubt that the criminal fugitive, from outside of Thailand, is running it? Further, is there any doubt that if his daughter would become PM

I remember when I posted about Thaksin months or years ago. And other members here said he is retired and has nothing to do with current Thai politics. I hope now people wake up and realize how m

The kind of democracy where the people vote and the election results are respected, whether the military and elites like it or not.

Don't try to divert the topic away from Thailand's democracy and upcoming election.  The last three legitimately elected PM's in Thailand (Prayuth does not count as legitimately elected) were removed by military or judicial coups.

You're almost funny - almost.

The red shirts have been created in reaction to the yellow shirts. That's fact. No yellow shirts, no red shirts.

Why were there 2500 +- extrajudicial killings in his war on drugs when he was in power before???2005/2006

Unfortunately, the old elite network and its components (the judiciary, the army, the Dems) never really investigated it (apart from a few minor cases), and closed the case.

There must be a reason! And it was surely not in order to protect Thaksin.

Might you be suggesting that other deviant circles were working in tandem with old Thakky?

That all would make sense - cover ups and protection rackets is what they do well.

The case was buried although it seemed to be the ideal occasion to nail Thaksin.

For example, don't you know who asked him to do it?
