Didn't dissuade the voters from electing Biden though. -

Macron Warns EU Could Face Collapse Without Urgent Reforms
"Keep the Germans down" has been obsolete for decades. Actually, Germany really benefited from not having to finance an extensive military, and rather concentrating on the economy. The other two reasons are still relevant. They are all the more relevant as most European people prefer to keep Russians out, even if it means keeping Americans in. Having said that, it's true that the ideal option for Europe and Russia would have been an alliance between them. It would have allowed them to weight enough to counterbalance the power of the U.S. and China. Europe would be in a much better shape and Russia would be like California. It did not work this way, in particular as Russia is governed by an incompetent leader who is focused on the past. (Of course, Western countries also share some responsibilities in this failure). The outcome is Europe being too dependent on the U.S., and Russia becoming a vassal of China. Obviously, being dependent on the U.S. is a much lesser evil. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
If you want to debate this issue with me you must remain focussed on the things being discussed and not make broad sweeping statements about mildly related issues and blame everything on my failure to understand!! Nobody ever suggested that there aren't unknowns and unclear issues, that is not even remotely relevant to the definition of the high level credit card related tax process, which is very simple and very clear. The poster attempts to make excuses why credit card transactions can't be considered assessable, all of which are manufactured and grasping at straws. -

Could an October Surprise Shift the Deadlocked Trump-Harris Race?
Trump is regarded by many as the worst man on the planet. so the real question is why he even has a chance at being POTUS again, regardless of his opponent? -

Bangkok Suffers Severe Smog as PM2.5 Levels Soar Amidst Heat Wave
Excuse me. There is something I need to know. I used the bold type(not the big letters regarding the case I presume you are talking about here. But the availability of that font is the standard feature of this site as you can see. If I cannot use it, why choice of different letter style is offered? It doesn't make any sense. Can you explain me WHY NOT? As I feel it quite a contradiction. -

Elderly Swiss man busted with gun at Phuket Airport
I have heard of the case of the bar fight(a tale from USA back in late 1970s). One drunk man felt horrible headache next morning. So he went to the hospital. Then the doctor was stunned to find out a few rounds of .25 impacted and stopped on the skull of that patient(still alive and able to reach the medical institution by himself). I know that the effect of the bullet may vary depending on the angle when it hit object. If it goes at the right angle, it can penetrate the bone. But from the shallow angle, it cannot always do the same. I am certainly not dumb enough to shoot myself(or anyone else) to evaluate the effect of the bullets. And moreover, in Thailand, a foreigners cannot own a gun except for the exceptional circumstances. I am not a novice to firearms. I used to own and shoot guns lawfully before my settlement here. -

Elon Musk Fear of Jail if Kamala Harris Defeats Trump: "If He Loses, I’m F—ed!"
That was then. Since 1963 they've been more into destroying other countries than building them up. Vietnam Iraq ( twice ) Afghanistan Nicaragua Panama Chile Cuba and a few other past and current conflicts. -

Illegal land occupation
My commiserations on the problems with the second case. I hope you're able to get that resolved. Your noted experiences are vaulable to know about and I appreciate all the details. I was going to agree with you and just write this off and not waste further money on it, but my girlfriend has taken it personally and wants him to summoned, which for the sake of 30,000B I might just do. The principle of this tosser thinking he can just get off scot free makes me inclined to spend just to try to wipe the smile off his face. -

Why is the MAGA movement so susceptible to crazy conspiracy theories?
Hey there fellow patriots. I read that Trump has opened his doors at Mar-A-Lago for the MAGA movement to take shelter from the hurricane. Pass it on to all your friends. -

Supporting documents required when re-entering on Non-O O/A Multiple Entry E-Visa
My wife and I have (or had) valid Non-O O/A Multiple Entry E-Visas acquired in the States. We went back to the States for three months and upon re-entry at Savarnabhumi yesterday we were asked for proof of insurance and also for the Visa approval confirmation sent to us when we applied for the visa. This was the first time we had re-entered through Swampy on the e-visas, we had always had the old visa stickers before, and additional paperwork had never been required, I didn't understand that even with a valid multiple entry visa in our passports they would require additional documents, so I didn't have them. I was only able to show them the visa approval letter that was still in my phone, but that was not sufficient and they stamped us in for thirty days, telling us to sort things out at our local Immigration office (NongKhai), or go to Savanahket to get a new visa. I thought I was up on all of the new requirements, but I totally missed this one. It is my hope that others may benefit from our experience and be sure to bring your e-visa approval letter and proof of insurance when re-entering Thailand on multiple re-entry O/A visas, even if you have not had any problems previously. (My wife had been across to Laos and back in at the bridge with no troubles).
