Turf Battle Breaks Out Between Two Groups Of Rescue Volunteers

A TURF battle broke out again between rescue volunteers of two foundations on Bamrung Mueang road close to midnight last night after a motorcycle accident there with a large number of policemen sent to separate them, TV Channel 7 said this morning (Apr. 11).

 

The rescue teams from Ruamkatanyu and Petchkasem foundations first held talks to negotiate but this led to an argument after which members of the two teams started attacking each. More rescuers from the two foundations then drove up and joined the melee.

 

Around 10-20 policemen from Samran Rat, Nang Loeng and Royal Palace stations as well as those from other units rushed in to separate the two groups.

The Hospital should implement a system where, if these morons start a problem, then stop their payment for bringing the dead and injured, and ban the problomatic 'rescue foundations' from operating for them. IMO

Tow truck wars fighting forjobs, repairs tows etc in Au early 60.s police got slings for tip offs to accidents. No dif. here I guess.Same with news crews.

Rival rescue volunteers clash, three injured, in Bangkok on Monday night

 

 

Three rescue volunteers were injured in a brawl between rival workers, from the Ruamkatanyu and Phetkasem foundations, in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district on Monday night, reportedly over an overlapping of area of operations.

 

More than 20 police officers from Samran Rat police station, other nearby police stations and a special patrol unit rushed to the scene to control the situation and to mediate between the rival groups.

 

Patinya Wibunnan, a board member of the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, said that the two teams of rescue workers have engaged in fistfights several times in the past, due to overlapping areas of operations.

over it , they are know to take any Gold or other valuables off

dead ,or nearly dead accident victims.
