At least 11 people were injured, nine by gunfire, in the early morning hours Saturday at a party held at a Columbia, South Carolina park, authorities said.

Deputies responded at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning and found "dozens of shell casings of multiple calibers," the Richland County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Few people were still there when deputies arrived, the statement said, but they began receiving reports of injured people at hospitals nearby.

So the USA is still a dangerous place to visit. There is the Mexican American, and this incident, and how many others

will happen in May? Top country for mass killings is not where I would like to live.

Those thoughts and prayers that get offered, are wearing thin. Maybe the NRA

folks should take a bit of the blame. IMO

What're guns for, but for killing people? Especially automatic or semi automatic long weapons...

2nd amendment rules. Give everyone a gun at birth, well, at least one...and sufficient ammunition to slowly but surely decimate the population of the USA. Saves anyone else doing it.

When these things happen in the USA the most important thing is protecting the Constitutional rights of the shooter.  Lesser concern for the dead, injured and bereaved, for them it's thoughts and prayers.

It's getting to sound like a party isn't a party over there unless there's gunfire, ambulances and police.

Unfortunately par for the course these days I saw a clip on the news today about a little league game being terrorized by  semi automatic fire happening in an adjacent park poor kids scattering terrified fortunately no one was hurt vote folks vot the cowards out so we can get real gun control laws passed heck the cops will thank you
