Popular Post webfact Posted May 4, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted May 4, 2023 Picture: Siam Rath On May 3, the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) of the Central Investigation Bureau, led by Police Lieutenant General Puttidet Boonkrapue, Deputy Superintendent Police Colonel Wat, and other officers, conducted a search at a condominium on South Sathorn Road, Thung Mahamek Subdistrict, Sathorn District, Bangkok. The search, carried out was based on a warrant issued by the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court. The raid was the result of international cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Royal Thai Police through the Office of the Attorney General. German authorities had informed their Thai counterparts that a German national, Mr. Christian, suspected of deliberate tax evasion, had fled to Thailand. Picture: Siam Rath Investigations revealed that Mr. Christian was residing at the search location, prompting a request for cooperation from Thai authorities in the search for evidence related to the alleged offense. During the search, officers discovered four notebooks and nine hard drives, believed to contain evidence relevant to the crime. The items were seized for further examination. However, Mr. Christian was not found in any of the searched rooms.
