Did you miss the bit in the link you posted where it stated;:

"We will be very visible, we will be loud, we will be hard to miss, but the procession and the plans for the coronation will go ahead uninterrupted by us.""?

You are correct. They were uninterrupted as protesters were moved on for stepping over the line.

You are paying way too much attention to this and giving much more importance that what it actually is .

  A few disruptive people were stopped from causing a disruption .

   That is all there is to this story .

Having reread the reports, I've changed my mind. Just as well the police intervened. Who knows what this protest could have led to: Petrograd? Kristallnacht?

   They simply wanted to stop a few loud mouthed unruly people disrupting the coronation , that's all they wanted to do .

They did indeed cause a disruption , but they had to cause a disruption in an area away from the main procession and so not to stop the coronation .

   And the people there for the coronation drowned out the protesters message by shouting louder than they did in retaliation
