Popular Post webfact Posted June 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 2, 2023 Residents of a condominium complex in Bang Chalong, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan, were shocked when an army sergeant, known as "Sergeant Ten," fired his gun more than 10 times. This incident, combined with previous threats and shootings by the sergeant, has left the community concerned. On June 2nd, at a condominium in Moo 7, Bang Chalong Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, Mr. Phongsak Intarapanya, the chairman of the condominium association, expressed his distress to reporters. He explained that the military sergeant resident had fired multiple gunshots from the building after returning to the condominium complex and finding no available parking space, reported Daily News. To add to the alarm, the sergeant posted a provocative message before descending to the lower level, stating his past actions of shooting at people and his intent to do so again. This understandably created fear among other residents, particularly considering a similar incident had occurred in the past. According to Mr. Phongsak, on June 1st, around 2:49 am, he received a report from the condominium's security personnel about gunshots coming from the mentioned building. Acting promptly, the security personnel informed Mr. Phongsak about the incident. Upon preliminary investigation, it was discovered that around 2:49 am, residents of the building had parked their cars in front of Building B1. It was observed that these residents seemed agitated, likely due to the lack of available parking spaces. Notably, these residents resided on the 10th floor. Shortly after, gunshots were heard for the first time around 2:54 am, consisting of approximately two shots. Subsequently, at 2:55 am, three more gunshots were heard, marking the second round of gunfire. Then, at 2:57 am, one of the residents who had parked their car in front of the building came down, visibly distressed. They urged anyone who was unable to leave due to their parking situation to meet them on the 10th floor. Furthermore, they revealed their prior actions of shooting at people without any consequences. Following this statement, the resident returned to their room on the 10th floor, brandishing a firearm resembling a 9mm pistol. Around 3:02 am, the final gunshot was heard, bringing the incident to an end. Mr. Phongsak also mentioned a similar shooting incident on the 10th floor of the same building in the past. It was triggered by a debt-related dispute that escalated into gunfire. However, it remains uncertain if the same individual was involved in both incidents. CCTV footage comparison suggests a possible connection between the two events. At present, Mr. Phongsak, as the chairman of the condominium association, has not had direct communication with the involved resident. However, a message has been sent through the condominium's group chat, urging the resident to come forward and resolve the situation. The incident on June 1st has not been officially reported to the authorities, but the police have initiated an investigation due to the reports of gunshots. The condominium complex comprises seven buildings with a total of 1,400 units, of which approximately 70% are occupied. Concern among other residents is growing due to the recurring nature of these incidents, with uncertainties about the potential for future casualties. The condominium association is deeply concerned and hopes that the law enforcement authorities will swiftly address the situation and prevent any further occurrences. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-06-03 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post BangkokReady Posted June 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2023 So an out of control soldier is allowed to threaten people, shoot and them, and shoot his gun at random, but still keep his job and not face any consequences? And people complain about guns in America. 4 1 1

Popular Post brucegoniners Posted June 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2023 Gee. Do you think maybe this guy should be locked up and the key tossed on the roof of the condos? I'm not hearing any sense of immediacy by the police at all here. They're "going to investigate" when he's done this numerous times? Either the police should come get him or the military should, but the man certainly is a danger. 3 1
Popular Post spidermike007 Posted June 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2023 It is astonishing the sheer number of bad actors in the armed forces here, especially the spectacularly toxic and nearly useless Thai army. Do these guys get punished? Are they treated like normal civilians by the judicial system, or does the army intervene, and protect them? Anything, absolutely anything that can be done to limit the power of the army, and the toxic and corrupt senators they appointed, is a good thing for the nation. The dinosaurs must be made extinct. And the youth must be allowed representation or control. Total control, if possible. They are the only ones who can move this nation forward, and stop the heinous and regressive army. 2 1

findlay13 Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Perfectly reasonable too! NO parking spaces would cause ANYONE to go off the deep end ! He showed typical Thai restraint by only firing 10 shots. 2

carlyai Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 My Thai son and family live in a 7 or 8 building complex. Extremely difficult to find a parking space. When all the spaces are full you leave the car in neutral, brake off and park infront of the cars parked in the parking spaces. He's got 2 cars and so do a few others. When we visit he (6th floor no lifts) keeps going down stairs to move my car until he gets a good parking spot. Usually people are very patient.
