Hopefully, the future will reveal the extent of his crimes. Neither Prayuth nor the Thai army are known for their integrity.

I’m sure the junta there will be very pleased to help out their Thai colleagues if needed. The people can want whatever they want and have elections and whatnot, but if the military decides otherwise, the people won’t get it. Despite the wet dreams junta lovers are having over the situation in Myanma, they will forever be disappointed when they discover that it just ain’t gonna happen here It’s over. The good guys won.

And the army has proven many times that they are more than willing to open fire on their own citizens. I really hope the army’s days of staging coups and hanging on to power are numbered. But the army has always been a tool of the elite to help protect their interests. They will use it again if they feel threatened.

In any case, Pita and his circle will require permission to proceed with such a proposition. All requests will be denied, naturally..... They likely stripped the treasury bare. They need to pay. Lock up Prayuth, Prawit, Phiphat, Anutin and the others. Depends how you define the 'need to pay' I think their accounts should be frozen as should their families and supporters then redistributed to the country they have plundered More than that in order to break the coup cycle they need to swing from a lamppost for the crimes they have committed, for what they have done prison or exile is not enough... 1 1
Dogmatix
Probably a Thai reporter put words into his mouth and asked if Prayuth would be held accountable by Thai society. Pita did not say anything about this on the campaign trail and there is no detail here of how it would happen. If he answered that there should be no accountability, that would also be considered controversial.

Especially, if there's something to gain from the act.
