Fast acting luxury bus driver evacuated 15 Polish tourists before their coach was engulfed in flames

Scenes from Monday on Expressway number 2 near the Kamphaeng Phet Road when a tourist bus went up in flames just after the driver had evacuated the 15 Polish tourists on their way to Ayutthaya.


Firefighters took twenty minutes to put out the flames which erupted just after the driver parked the bus on the busy expressway and opened the door to the left through which the foreign tourists made their exit.

Probe into Thai school’s alleged forced relocation of 130 ethnic children

A committee has been formed by the Ministry of Education to investigate allegations that 130 ethnic children were forcibly relocated from a Thai-Myanmar border town to a school in Ang Thong’s Pa Mok district.

140 Thai women lured into prostitution in Myanmar

The Pavena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women revealed that the foundation is working to rescue 140 Thai women lured into prostitution in the Shan state of Myanmar. Some of the victims were forced to take drugs.

Thai man dozes off using GPS, crashes car into barrier, and dies

A 31 year old Thai man tragically lost his life after his car veered off course and collided with a barrier on a U-turn near Ban Mueang Luang in Chachoengsao province. The incident occurred at 3am this morning, and witnesses say the driver seemed to be dozing at the wheel prior to the crash.

Thai teen’s chilling confession to child murder due to non-stop crying

An 18 year old Thai man yesterday allegedly confessed to killing his sister-in-law’s two month old baby. The teenager said he did it because the baby would not stop crying.

Thai Inflation Rate Falls for Fifth Straight Month

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s inflation rate fell for the fifth straight month in May amid lower electricity and fuel prices. However, experts warned that inflation could rebound due to a possible increase in minimum wages and the upcoming drought season.

Pattaya Police raid illegal karaoke bar, arrest owner and 5 Myanmar nationals

Pattaya City Police officers last night raided an unlicensed karaoke bar, catching five Myanmar nationals working there without the proper permits. The police have charged the bar’s caretaker and the five employees with various legal violations, including operating without official permission and selling alcohol unauthorised.

Drunken British man flings bicycle through glass door after mobile phone meltdown in Krabi

Police apprehended a British man who launched a bicycle into the glass door of a house on Koh Lanta, an island in Krabi province in southern Thailand. He admitted being intoxicated and angry after losing his mobile phone.

General election vote recount at 47 polling stations this Sunday

Thailand’s Election Commission (EC) has ordered a recount of the votes cast at 47 polling stations, after it was discovered that the number of ballots cast in the May 14th general election does not match the number of voters who showed up to vote.

Pita to protect migrant worker rights and dignity in Thailand

Migrant workers in Thailand should have dignity and rights, as they are a vital part of the country’s economic development, said Pita Limjaroenrat, the Move Forward party leader, when asked to comment on a report by Cambodian media that prime minister Hun Sen will not accept Thailand’s new labour policy, allegedly to expel Cambodia’s migrant workers.
