Trump has unleashed a wave of calls by his supporters for violence and an uprising to defend him, disturbing observers and raising concerns of a dangerous atmosphere ahead of his court appearance in Miami on Tuesday. In social media posts and public remarks, close allies of Mr. Trump — including a member of Congress — have portrayed the indictment as an act of war, called for retribution and highlighted the fact that much of his base carries weapons. The allies have painted Mr. Trump as a victim of a weaponized Justice Department controlled by President Biden, his potential opponent in the 2024 election. But I am in favor of the authorities closely watching people or groups favoring civil war in order to arrest people as soon as chatter morphs into planning actions.

Most of those Trump voters, she pointedly added, are “card-carrying members” of the National Rifle Association. “That’s not a threat. That’s a public service announcement,” she said. “We will not let you lay a finger on President Trump. Frankly, now is the time to cling to our guns and our religion.” https://www.ajc.com/politics/kari-lake-on-indictment-you-will-not-lay-a-finger-on-president-trump/MMN42LXFBFAI3OLFITJY7TPIHE/ What a very sad woman. The south just compensated their defeat with Jim Crow laws and still glorifying the Rebel cause. Black people might have been paid after the war, but peanuts, and their civil rights including voting rights were severely repressed. Yes many moved north but discovered there's plenty of racism up there too! Also it's still being debated if Sherman's brutal murderous march from Atlanta to the sea after the Union won was justified in any way. Very hard to understand what drives these idiots, but then some cults seem to have this hold on people, and the majority of them are average to poorly educated, so that could explain it. 2

Such statements are no more “free speech” than threatening to kill a sitting President. No less than TWO law enforcement officers were suspended in the southern United States for that exact threat once Joe Biden was elected. “Free speech” is like anything else in law, it has its limits.

There are many stories out there which discuss the actual workings of DOJ under Trump. However, looking at it from the outside one can see that the rhetoric and tone Trump used and is still using set the country up for where it is today. Look at the Republicans in both houses. What they are advocating, and what the OP discusses in many posts, is a violation of the 14th Amendment. There is a post somewhere above which lays it all out for you as far as what they are inciting is an insurrection themselves and could be removed from office.

The guy who publicly and bizarrely disputed the Justice Dept's inspector general findings and then was unable to come up with any evidence to support his disagreement. As has been repeated repeatedly, the investigation of Trump was not based on the Steele report. Even Durham acknowledged that. "Once Trump was no longer president, he had no right to these materials. He stored them recklessly — not in a secured space that had been approved to handle classified documents, but, farcically, in places including his bedroom, a bathroom, and a ballroom. Popular Post ThailandRyan
Trump, has lost more attorneys who have left his sinking ship. The way the man continues to whip people into a frenzy and disregard his own legal team will not end well for him nor will it end well for the elected senators and congressman who are advocating the measures they are. As I stated in an earlier post the 14th Amendment should now be in play for any elected official who allows themselves to spew forth the rhetoric such as the OP is stating, and those who posted tweets and such after the indictment was released. If I ever spoke like these folks are doing, I would have been suspended from service and terminated for violating my oath of office as a LEO.
