Four malnourished Pit Bulls were abandoned by their owner in a house in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi, Thailand. One of the dogs was killed by the other dogs eating it before concerned neighbours contacted local authorities for assistance, Khaosod reported.

Residents of a village in Bang Bua Thong were shocked to discover this alarming case after a TikTok user posted about the pit bulls. The abandoned dogs were left to starve in a house after the owner moved away without them. With no one to provide food or water, the pit bulls were left to feed on each other, resulting in one canine’s death.

Following the incident, local authorities, including the village head and others, stepped in to help rescue the remaining three pit bulls and remove the dog’s carcass from the house. Phuang Thong, a 61 year old neighbour living opposite the house, revealed that a married couple had rented the house and brought the four pit bulls along, but eventually the couple had a fall-out and both moved out, leaving the dogs behind unattended.

Pitbulls, like any dog can be bred by professional breeders for good temperament,

BS it can't be bred Out they were bred to fight and kill and it will ALWAYS remain in their instinct no matter what.

Once again someone spouting off and hasn't a clue as to what he's on about.

Can pitbulls be born aggressive?

Dogs Aren't Born Bad

Aggressive dogs aren't born that way. Mean dogs frequently aren't properly socialized as puppies. They also likely have been abused or starved well into adulthood. People choose Pit Bulls for dog-fighting simply because they're a strong and large breed – not because they're monsters.

This comment is irrelevant to the nature of the OP. This is about unnecessary cruelty of animals of whatever breed. I don't like pitbulls in the slightest but they have my sympathy as it relates to the context of the topic.

The biggest animal cruelty in the world is eating them, 3 dogs left to eat each other is a drop in the ocean. Do all those dead animals killed for meat have your sympathy as well as vicious dogs?

Unless they have mental issues.

The breeder? Yes if breeding for aggression that shows some mental problems indeed. A dog born with mental issues? I fail to see the relevance. Abberations are definitely irrelevant.

Several years ago my soi was a mini Farang Ghetto, with a Swiss, a Dane, a Frenchman and a couple of Americans.  The other American noticed that his next-door neighbors had had a loud fight and had both left their townhouse, leaving the doors and gate locked up.  They had two dogs that were left in the carport and 3 or 4 cats, which were left inside.  The dogs started crying when their owners didn't come back the next day, so we all got together and managed to get some food and water to them over the fence.  My wife knew who their landlady was and managed to get a message to her that her tenants had abandoned their pets.  The next day with wife returned and fed the neglected dogs and cats.

After a few months they moved away, taking their dogs, but leaving their cats behind.  Most of the cats didn't survive the transition from house cat to street cat, but one tough old one-eyed Siamese still visits my wife occasionally to get a free meal.

It really is shocking how some people will neglect their pets.
