If I was in charge of Thailand I would think twice before considering any offer from China... too much like Russia and look at what happen with Ukraine military operation and Belarus as Vlad just referred to it as a territory  not a country, that could be Thailand next denomination as well if they lay down with China... South China Sea used to be a free way/road of international navigation, I said USED to be as now it become China's territory, just ask Vietnam, Philippines, Bruney, Malaysia and some other countries about accepting China into their waters, thus Thailand should be very very careful with what they wish for

Time will show you right or wrong, but it is a very American way of thinking about China. 

 

How many wars have America won? There is no win in a sich wars with China, only losses, and when the conflicts happens everywhere else than Us and China mainland, many innocent dies who have no part in the conflict at all.

Sorry I am not as dumb as you presume I am. I know what the US has been up to. I lived through the Vietnam war, Watergate, the ridiculous wars in Iraq, Panama, Grenada, etc. I saw the insane buildup of the intelligence community after 9/11. I know how rotten and over reaching they are. I know how foul politicians at the national level are in America. As bad as the US has been in terms of foreign policy, considering the power they have wielded, it could have been a whole lot worse. Would you really trust the Chinese as the leader of the "not so free" world? Which would you choose as the top dog? Would you prefer to count on the largess of Xi? Do you trust him, the Politburo, and the CCP? And if so, why?

 

That is one of my greatest fears. That the US influence will continue to wane, and China will pick up the ball. They are not, nor will they ever be responsible guardians of the "public trust", as long as the CCP is in control. Not that America was always that. But, the CCP has nothing but evil intentions, in my opinion. World domination. And not what I would call "an overlord that wears their power lightly".

And the CCP has a nicely developed infrastructure to work with, that they did not have to pay for. Just think if the Kra canal project ever happens. It would be a likely takeover, at that point. The only hope for the world, is the swift downfall of the CCP. One can dream. They seem to be heading toward world domination. Though the Americans certainly have their faults, and alot to answer for, I would take them as a dominant force over China, any day of the week.

Exactly! I've watched this build up since day one. the very first island was meant to be a rest stop for their fishermen, yeah right. We see what's happened now! Woody island is especially impressive--in a bad way, unbelievable the amount of structures on it. Once they installed personnel on those islands it made it extremely difficult to counter this type of action. Plus they landed nuclear strike capable bombers on one of them in 2018 as a show of force--training exercise in their words. Plus now they say everything on the islands is for defense, who believes that crap?!

Could have fooled me. But propagandised for sure. How many wars have China been involved in in the last 50 years, compared to your country? Why is the world, with the exception of the collective West, pivoting towards China? The days of the US empire are numbered, it’s just a matter of which countries it will take down with it.
