June 14, 2023 - According to reports, the Thai National Police, under the direction of National Police Chief, Damrongsak Kittiprapas, has commenced an operation to monitor the activities of foreign nationals exhibiting inappropriate behaviour in Thailand, such as violations of the law or international criminal organizations operating within the country's borders.

General Phakphum Sajjaphon, Commander of the Immigration Bureau, has ordered related agencies to take action against these activities and conduct investigations accordingly. This operation has yielded tangible results.

Are they wearing masks because they still think it's required in the fight against covid in 2023?

Or:

Are they wearing them to try and retain some anonymity?

Must have been a busy night back at their offices cashing up proceeds of all  the brown envelopes they must have collected on their 'door knocking' escapades??

That is a lot of man power and hours of diligent work to put away one overstayer, they would want that number to increases dramatically as to not loose face.

Either the problem is so small as to be insignificant or they are so incompetent they could not detect their way out of a paper bag, or both.

Good to know they are doing their job of catching overstayers and those

Who don't have the proper visas here in Thailand ????

Carry on the good work ????

Would you like to reread this article and remind us of the quantifiable success of this "good work". I believe the figure ”ONE ” was the result... Great return eh?....

A similar force in Bangkok is so efficient that they pitched up at the house of farang their records showed had overstayed a number of years ready to haul their prize off to the standing room only Immigration jail in Soi Suan Plu. Imagine their disappointment when his Thai missus told them he was abroad but had become a naturalised Thai some years earlier, giving them a copy of his ID card as evidence.

If its actually Chinese Triads and Russian draft dodgers and any other low life criminal undesirables they're after then just state it, I mean they actually deserve to lose face yeah?

But this article almost suggests that all Farang are targets, so we all should expect to be stopped in the streets Nazi SS style

Wow, so impressive Uniforms.

Why not show how the detention and deportation rooms look like. Because, they are hidden, because they violate all International human right standards.

AI should blame Thailand for this treatment.

So detention and deportation rooms you know, it seems:coffee1:

Not surprised that they only found one overstayer. The educational visa is the best for foreigners under 50. If I was a Russian I would attend every class at the Thai language school. Would not take the risk of being deported and sent back to Russia, and then ending up as cannon fodder for the Ukraine war.
