  • Phu Chi Fa is a fairly strenuous walk which requires good footwear. Halfway up, there is a side track which leads to a marker delineating the border between Thailand and Laos. At the top, I was lookin

The Spicy Garlic Bacon Pasta thingy was excellent, and seriously one of the best dishes I've had in TH.   That's saying a lot.   Well worth the 17 kms drive off hwy 37 if in the area & feel like a munch.

Not too many plates or bowls of food have impressed me here.   That was damn tasty, and quite the surprise, especially for ฿129.   Might have been the bacon, as been so long since eating :cheesy:

Every component of the dish was done right and came through.  A rarity here, and well above the usual, 'just OK' meals served up.

Something to think about ... BEFORE ... getting talked into having a pet, especially over 10kg ...

For ease of booking, usually good info, Booking.com, and for Monday 24 Nov ...

image.png.48643ca9312ea849eeca959ab5947d15.png

Under ฿1000 (if no pet charge) ... 21 hotels, though usually not acceptable or convenient

฿1000 - ฿2000 ... 14 hotels, and ฿2k is our limit, as we won't use the amenities that come with that price.  Rarely use a pool when available, and prefer not to have mandatory breakfast included.

Slim pickins for the want to be 'downtown' folks.

Gmaps will have more ... BUT ... filter sucks for pet friendly, so need a thrifty wife / gf, to call each one and ask ...

... pet friendly, most don't accept >10 kg

... pet fee ?

... brekkie

... parking, have or location nearby - no thanks

... walk-in in OK, we never pay in advance, unless familiar, and know we will be there, sometimes that's not until 1 hr or less from hotel.

... Gmap & streetview will allow you to see surrounding area, for some green spots, for the pet to do their business, ours usually won' on concrete.

Also good to cross reference Booking.com hotels, and verify info, and usually different than whats booking.com states.

... verify pet friendly

... verify pet fee, if any

... possibly cheaper

... ask price without  brekkie, if not wanting

... any conditions about pet, weigh, type room allowed in, as may be more expensive

Gmap, without zooming in, so yea, pets limit selection ...

Looks pretty average. What is the price?

Is it for the dog?

A snap from last outing @ Cera Cafe' garden, and our favorite munch spot @ Chumphon, for goat curry & sweets. (10.510987, 99.206817)

Hard to pass by, when on the way home from a Southern loop.
