Great ride chris trailblazer ???? Mai Sariang is a good stop off place cheap hotels and some good food in roadside restaurants.

It's great here and never ending trails if that's what you want.

I'm not a trail rider but even many of the roads around that area are nice. ????

My biker mate comes back from UK late September, he has some mates from Holland coming wanting to ride the Mae Hong Song loop but will probably ride back Mae Sariang way to extend the ride out.

Yesterday my planned ride was from Mae Sariang to Tak. On route I stopped to take a look at Mae Tawo Pier on the Moei River. I took some photos of the Burmese travelling in the long tail boats across the river.

From here I rode onto Tak, It was still only 1.30pm and no rain, so I decided to carry on to Kanchanaburi got a bit wet in the storms that passed by and arrived after nearly 11 hours and 700km.

A bit too long, but ok ????

Yeah you must be fit,  I had a CRF250L and it was comfortable to ride but to do 11 hours would have been too much.

These days me and biker buddy ride to enjoy and stop every hour or so and wherever we end up no later than 4 o/c we find a place and chill out. ????

I don't usually ride that long and like to take it slowly taking in the views and taking photos

I do stop and take pix and slow down in many places but we like to stop at Ma and Pop places for a break we are in no hurry.

My buddy has a Triumph 660 and another buddy who comes sometimes has a Phantom so on those trip we have to stop and wait for him. ????

I'm looking forward to December doing the Mae Hong Song loop again with 3 other riders.

We will do a 4 day Nan trip again before then though and maybe 3 or 4 day trips as well, great fun.

When you are on the MHS loop ride up to here, there are wonderful views.

Keep going past the microwave towers and and it a small hill on the left.

Yesterday I rode 480km from Kanchanaburi to Ban Kruat in Buriram.

This morning I rode local to a few places I wanted to photograph, the first place all the big trees I wanted to photo at the side of a reservoir had been cut down and there ground works going on, totally ruined the place.

Next was a small pond which in the past had been very good for taking photos as there was lots of plant life and insects everywhere. This was another failure no lotus flowers or weeds and few insects.

I decided to move on a take some photo’s of a Khmer Temple I visited earlier in my trip. Prasat Ta Muean.

Today was my last day here in Ban Kruat and I rode around local sites.

First I went to a small lake I spotted a few days before to see if it was worth photographing.

Then to another old temple, Prasat Thamo which is being kept upright by scaffolding.

I then backtracked a little to another old temple, Prasat Noi Monastery. Basically ancient random building blocks scattered around with lots of litter too.
