Bar Girl / Prostitute.

Danderman I did not say bars I said some bars and rooms near the bar. You made it sound like i said bars in Pattaya. Can any members who live in Patters confirm to me that there are indeed short-time rooms in SOME bars? and even hotels used solely by the girls for short - time.

The Thai bars I am familiar with don't have barfines - the ladies cannot leave the bar during their shift.

Disagree, a wife takes a lot of money from you and doesn't have sex with you. Well that's how it worked back in the UK!

One other thought:  While at university, I was lucky enough to have a rather famous Linguistics professor. He impressed upon me the importance of always being respectful of others when speaking or writing.  I have always done my best to show respect for others, and I just hope it shows.

Therefore, I would prefer to think of the girls in Pattaya as FRIENDS.

Friend is a better word than Prostitute, in my view.

On a trip to bangkok I sent my Philipina wife to MBK for shopping and went to the old Golden Bar at Nana for a beer. When she returned I had a pretty young bargirl sitting on my lap She asked me who she was and I had to think quick so I told her   she was a "table lady" who just serves the beers and talked to the customers. It was my wifes 1st.trip to thailand and she is not so nieve now.

So they just use the 'rooms upstairs'?

All done on the mobile these days.

I went to Celebrity Massage in Chiang Mai, it's a standard Farang body massage place.

You never saw a Thai customer in there? BS.

no rooms upstairs.

and no barfines.

This is common practice in many countries, where the local bars don't offer Short Time.

I am saying that Celebrity Massage in Chiang Mai caters to Farangs. If a Thai man wants to pay big money, sure he can go.

But, you have lost the plot.

My is and was about Thai bars not offering barfines or on site Short Time, and somebody started posting about Thai bar complexes that had soapy massages for Thai customers.

The Thai bar business is not some Bizarro version of Farang bars, its a different business model, often with many Thai women customers in groups looking for stray Thai men.

Are there any Thai bars with Short time? I have heard of such bars, such as those behind the Esso station on Sukhumvit in Banglamung, but they are rare.

Are you sure you're in Thailand if you don't understand why some bars have rooms above the bar? what do you think they're used for?

My point is and was that although Farang bars have ST rooms and allow ladies to be barfined, Thai bars largely do not.

"Lost the plot" is a favorite expression of yours? Saying it doesn't make it so.

Celebrity and Sayuri in Chiang Mai have plenty of Thai clients, I've seen them there choosing women from the fishbowl.

You don't know what you are talking about. Goodbye.

Maybe the bars you frequent, but far and away, most "Farang bars" in Thailand do not have short time rooms.

Once again, Celebrity Massage in Chiang Mai caters to Farang customers, although Thai customers are welcome. The reality is that most Thais are unable to pay soapy massage prices.

Claiming that there are soapy massage establishments in Thai entertainment complexes is wildly inaccurate.

BTW, I think this place is closed.

Geez, it was just yesterday that someone bashed me because I allegedly didn't know about ST rooms.

Okay, I will revise my terminology to make it troll-proof.

Often, Farang bars have ST rooms and offer barfines for ladies.

Conversely, most Thai bars do not have ST rooms or offer barfines.

I quoted the definition of a prostitute. Then I said that regardless of what someone labels themselves (bargirl, barboy or whatever) if they match the definition (of a prostitute) then that is what they are. Nowhere did I say that bargirl always equals prostitute.

OP didn't ask for a definition of a prostitute.

??????????????

In my extensive experience over decades frequenting farang bars hardly any had short time rooms given most are just a stand alone bar with stools around it.

Perhaps Soi 6 would be an exception.

Did you mean Gogo bars? Even then most don't. Nana Plaza had short time rooms on top floor but individual bars definitely didn't.

However you got it right about barfines.

Here in Pattaya, Farang bars are mostly in shophouses. The ST rooms are upstairs.

No idea if Farang bars in Phuket are the same.

Not having been a fan of Thai bars, I can't answer that, but I do know that Thais have short time hotels with screens to cover the car.

I was having a meal in a resort in a pretty deserted area near Chiang Dao and noticed a "hotel" with a very large pink heart on the entrance and asked my wife about it. She laughed and said it's just for short time bonking. Seemed like a long way to go for a naughty, but I guess they want to get as far away from the wife as possible.

Bingo.

The Thai bars don't have ST rooms or barfines - but customers CAN arrange off hours rendezvous with the ladies, and that is what those hotels are for (plus trysts between bosses and female underlings).

In Pattaya, Love hotels are rare west of Sukhumvit Road, but the further east you go, the more such places you will find.

Yes I know about Full Love on Soi Bongkot, but there aren't too many more in the area.

I'm very familiar with Pattaya having lived there, and IMO most bars are not in shop houses- they are in the bar complexes with many bars in a small area and have only air above them.

I'm also familiar with shophouse bars having stayed in a place on Soi 13/1 ( it wasn't called that back then but the name eludes me now ) with one downstairs and several resident ladies available for fun times, but the number of those in Pattaya would be a fraction of those in bar complexes ( unless times really have changed ).

The really huge soapy massage places in Bkk had mainly Thai ( or other Asian customers ), and the soapy place up by Bic C in Pattaya catered mainly to Thais ( or other Asian customers ).

Plenty of Thais with loadsacash to spend on fun times with slippery ladies.

However, I couldn't find one in Chiang Mai that was still open. IMO Chiang Mai was a fun devoid place if one liked renting ladies. Even Loi Kroh wasn't fit to be compared with any place in Pattaya- just a boring dump with boring girls that wanted laughable amounts to go with one.

You wouldn't recognize Soi Chaiyapoon, its jammed with shophouse bars now.

The open air beer bars on Soi 7 & 8 are going the way of the dodo. And the multiple of open air bars in TreeTown are in peril, due to customer drift.

Thanks.  What do these "arm candy bar girls" get for having sex with desperate (and most likely married) Thai men, if they're not given money?

Maybe not the majority, but some bar girls are only there for the drinks money and the tips at end of night when they are divided up.

Anyone that thinks all bar girls are available hasn't been going to bars long enough.

The soapy massage places in Pattaya cater mostly to Indian customers. Previously, they had largely Farang customers.

The big hint is their location: Soi Honey, 2nd Road, and Pattaya Tai. As you know, Thailand starts east of 3rd Road, west of 3rd Road, its Farang Disneyland, but that's where the soapy massage places are.

If you could point out a soapy massage place in Nong Prue, that would make your point, since relatively few Farangs or Indians are out there.

Thanks for the update. I guess times have changed.

Even back in 2016 Soi 7 and 8 were on the downhill slide and obviously in trouble.

For probably the best example of change take Patpong which used to be the Mecca for gogo, and ended up as a horrid night market and multiple bag shops, and that happened almost last century.

Happily my time in Pattaya ended just as the Indian invasion started, so I have obviously avoided the situation in the soapies. Do the Indians try to get one soapy girl to take on a half dozen of them at once, like they try to do with the girls on Beach Road?

I once had an Indian on a baht bus ask if he could haggle the 10 baht price down!

Plenty of farangs live in the Darkside of Pattaya- how many soapy massage places up there?

Actually, by "Nong Prue", I am referencing the Darkside. But, the number of Farangs who live there is relatively low, compared to Pattaya, and they are spread out over a wide area.  A soapy massage place needs a large concentration of customers nearby.

As for Indians, they will generally go in groups, presumably negotiating price ahead of time. They will arrive in a minivan.

I often walk by the Honey Massage I, and often see Indians coming and going. I never see Farangs or Thai customers. I suspect the Pattaya Tai soapy massage to be closer to the Indians south of Pattaya Tai.

Nightwish has blurred the lines a bit on this. But pretty much yes.

Can i just put the Train back on the Tracks the thread is about Bar Girls / Prostitutes. Not about soapy massage places in Chaing Mai or anywhere else or short time rooms we know they are still there ok i will concede small farang bars do not have a room above them,

As I understand it, prostitutes can sometimes be found at the aforementioned soapy massage places (at least that's what I've been told) so why would soapy massage places be off topic? (asking for a friend)
