Online call to find information on senators’ mistresses trends in Thailand

Thai social media is seeing the hashtag #เมียน้อยสว (senator’s mistress) trending, calling on people to gather information on senators’ extramarital affairs.

 

The calls are to focus on senators who voted against and abstained from voting for Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat as the next prime minister last Thursday.

 

The hashtag was used more than 500,000 times, fewer than half the over one million uses of #ธุรกิจสว (senator’s business), a call to boycott businesses related to senators and their families.

 

While the latest hashtag has not produced much information on senators’ extramarital dalliances, a number of brands have reacted to the first one with information on their ownership, as to whether it includes senators and their families.

True, they have one though/direction/objective only ... the glory of the military and it's right (in their beliefs) to always and forever 'manage' the country.

Appointed senators just doing what the appointed senators were appointed to do - sew chaos in democracy and pave the way for the military's return.

 

I actually feel that they are also scared that appointing a government that may then call a vote to boot them out is not in their best interests !

If it were not for the fact he previously exhibited little humour, I would suspect he is having a good laugh at the mansion now.

It is amazing how many topics, which were off-limits just a few years ago, are publicly discussed.

 

Even last week's debate in Parliament for the PM selection resulted in a six-hour discussion of reforms to the Monarchy. In the recent past this sort of thing would have resulted in dozens of 112 and 116 charges.

 

The old guard will react violently at these changes, with random enforcement of computer crimes act and defamation. They've already claimed "bullying". Prying into their marital status, side-pieces, common-law wives, offspring and businesses will set them off. They will want to make examples of a lot of people.

I find it amazing that the dinosaurs are against changes to section 112 without knowing what those changes are. Fear of the unknown?

 

An article a while back in the BP suggested that this was an emotional smoke screen. They are really against the FMP threatening to sack the senators but they cannot admit that publicly.

A certain ex-army captain spent years in an Australian prison for being a heroin dealer, yet that same piece of <deleted> is still an MP after the court backed him. Thai politicians have no shame. They only care about themselves.

Yeah.  In australia too,  when you are high up the ladder such as afl players,  politicians,  rules dont apply.  Unfortunately for this Thai chap,  Australia didnt realise how important he was to Thailand. Im glad he is back in Thailand and rehabilitated himself into an honoured politician.
