Thailand sees tourism growth skyrocketing to three trillion baht in 2023

Thailand recently experienced a surge in international arrivals, with numbers reaching 15 million within just seven months of this year encouraging tourism growth, informed Rachada Dhnadirek, a deputy government spokesperson.

 

She acknowledged the substantial contribution of northern hemisphere school summer breaks increasing the influx of international tourists to the vibrant Southeast Asian nation, thereby boosting tourism growth.

 

In response to these favourable conditions, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced an innovative campaign titled “Amazing Thailand Health and Wellness: New Chapters New Experience” geared towards supporting medical tourism and attracting wellness tourists who boast significant purchasing capacity.

Concerning domestic tourism growth, the TAT laid out plans to spotlight local attractions in each region, a strategic move aimed at redistributing income generated by tourism to local communities across the entire nation reveals Rachada.

 

“TAT projects the revenue from tourism to hit a high of three trillion baht next year, with international tourists accounting for 1.92 trillion baht and domestic tourists contributing 1.08 trillion baht,” Rachada elaborated.

If all foreigners would boycott Thailand, it would be much better from a couple of reasons.

 

1. Thai people will hopefully learn they can't scam foreigners, that we will not accept it. We will not accept dual pricing. So the faster this happens the better. It doesn't matter if foreigners have a salary at 200k-500k baht/month or more, we still demand to pay as much as a Thai that makes 12k/month.

 

2. The Thai dictatorship will see that less foreigners are coming to Thailand to make an example that we do not tolerate the breaking of basic human rights in Thailand. And when this happens more Thais will demonstrate to a point when the dictatorship will release the power and Thailand is on it's way to become a democracy. Only than should foreigners return to Thailand, not only if the dictatorship junta say something. They need to act and release power.

 

3. Government in the west needs to  pressure Thailands government to become a democracy. They need to EU, USA, Australia/New Zealand and Japan needs to implement an import/export embargo on Thailand, so no products from these countries can enter Thailand and no cargo from Thailand, like rice or other, can enter those countries. This will make the Thais mkre frustrated l, and hopefully Thailand will become a democracy.

 

However, this is just the beginning, there is much to be done after that to keep Thailand as a democracy, like making sure the military has no power at all. And the highest military leaders are chosen by the PM, so they can never again take power.

I am honestly not sure where TAT gets it's economic data from. 

The global economy is in dire straits right now. With the US banking system on the edge of another Global finanial crisis, Commercial real-estate crisis, Regional banking crisis, Deflation threats. 

 

China's economic engine has stopped completely. No new orders are coming in, factories are closing down left and right, Large manufacturers have left the country. Once, the back orders are fulfilled, there won't be enough orders to keep the Chinese economy from a deflating, it's already deflating. China is the canary in the coal mine, if China's economy is suffering from lack of orders (and the trucking, baltic dry index, PMI data all support that thesis), that's because Western Europe and America does not have enough money to place those orders, that should tell you these countries in the West do not have discretionary spending anymore.

Once, the American people's savings are tapped out and that's going to happen very soon as soon as September when Student loan repayments start again, China will have no longer have a economy. This is why China is trying to turn to their local population into consumers. 

If you really think about it, the tourism statistics show Russians and Chinese were the highest in terms of tourism for Thailand. Russians because their economy is destroyed, the Russians are fleeing war, Fleeing not travelling for leisure and their Ruble has been decimated. The Chinese travelled to Thailand because they were cooped up in a cage for 3 years, had good savings. However, the Chinese real estate crisis, lack of jobs will eventually tap into those savings and when that runs out, there won't be much tourism going on. 

This goes for Americans as well. When the American's savings are tapped out and by December at the latest, if the retail numbers don't go up, corporations are going to start laying off. So you got three really huge factors at play here, diminishing savings, Student loan repayment and No discretionary spending, all funds are going to maintaining their mortgage and car loan payments.

Well year to date May, 79% of Thailand's recovering tourist numbers didn't come from either China, Russia or the USA. As usual it's an overrly dramatic click-bait headline by the author rather than the reality already acknowledged by TAT numerous times so far this year, especially with respect to China.

Ya, I can possibly see it.  3 people, non-stop flight from Chiang Mai to Samui with cheapest near beach accommodations we could find, 2.5 weeks, low season (there now) nearly $2,000 USD just for those two parts of the trip!  Weather is pretty kickass though.  82F at 3pm, short late afternoon thunderstorms keeps the mossy's/temp down.  Far cry from 95F plus humidity taking it to 109F in CM!

Yet  more BS from these dreamers ,went to see some friends who arrived a few days ago from Australia there staying on a resort that has at least 100 rooms and except for them the place is empty we sat in the restaurant for a good two hours the only other people there were the girl behind the bar the place was deserted and this complex has a beautiful beach front

As soon as I saw "3 trillion baht", I thought TAT have got to be in here somewhere and I was not disappointed:-
