Mint-chocolate drinks became widely popular after one of Pheu Thai’s prime ministerial candidates, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, stated that it is her favourite drink. Since then, the drink became symbolic of the party and is often served to welcome members of other political parties whenever they visit its headquarters.

hope DQ don't do it too with their mint chocolate ice cream....????????

Much of politics - everywhere - is about symbolism, either literally or metaphorically.

And what is the symbolism for? To influence people's emotions. And why is that? Because most human beings act on their emotions.

Several cafés in Thailand have stopped selling mint-chocolate drinks, after the Pheu Thai party met with Bhumjaithai, the United Thai Nation, Chart Pattana Kla and Chartthaipattana parties over the past weekend, to woo them into supporting its prime ministerial candidate and forming a government.

Thailand in their hands... what a sad state of affairs.

What is wrong with the people of Thailand..

Stand up, march to Bangkok and demand change and Pita as you voted.

Not at all.

Just a safe, non-violent protest.

Letting the dinosaurs know that they are disliked.

It is silly, because I'm being punished even though I'm ineligible to vote.

LOL. What's next? When people in Bangkok, or the South want to show that they don't support parties popular in the Northeast, will they stop eating Som Tam?

Wait to see how many people stop wearing red and or switch to orange  that will tell Dubai how screwed they are

the fact that you, while probably not the intended audience of such act are still mentioning this years after it has happened means it was valuable,
