webfact Posted July 25, 2023 Author Posted July 25, 2023 BLACKPINK’s Lisa triggers skyrocketing sales of freshly squeezed orange juice in Buriram by Samantha Rose Picture courtesy of Sanook Showing immense influence, Lisa Manoban, also known as Lisa of the famed South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, has sparked a rush to purchase freshly squeezed orange juice. This followed a post by the talented Thai singer on her Instagram, where she was seen enjoying a drink of the citrus delight, which led to a boost in juice sales, particularly in her northeast home province, Buriram. Lisa, who has consistently used her platform to highlight Thai products, once again demonstrated her significant influence. Following a simple post that saw the star sipping on orange juice, a quirky orange emoji accompanied her caption. This resulted in numerous fans joking about a potential increase in the sale of orange juice products. In the past, Lisa’s posts on Instagram relating to Thai products have consistently triggered a marketplace shortage for those same products. These included items such as Thai Siang Pure Balm, milk pouches from Nong Pho, standing-eat meatballs, Silom Roti, grilled pork, and Thai tea. Recently, it was reported that almost immediately after Lisa’s post, sales of freshly squeezed orange juice skyrocketed in the Buriram province. Vendors at different locations experienced a surge in customers eager to enjoy a freshly squeezed citrus delight, reported Sanook. When LISA, a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, recently posted a photo holding a glass of orange juice, people began speculating whether the beverage was gaining popularity. Historically, any product endorsed by LISA tends to sell exceptionally well. Picture: Thai Rath As predicted, after her post, the atmosphere in the orange juice market in Buriram changed instantly. Every juice stand witnessed an influx of customers of all ages, ordering and drinking to their heart's content. Some sellers even started offering home deliveries to meet the soaring demand. Mrs. Samniang Nopkhun, 61, residing at No. 28, Moo 13, Chumhed District, Buriram, revealed that she loves orange juice but rarely got a chance to drink it due to limited availability. Inspired by her daughter's suggestion, she decided to have a glass right away. She admitted that the "LISA effect" had indeed swept through Buriram, creating a real impact. Picture: Thai Rath Mr. Surachai Kosikorn, 45, owner of a fresh orange juice stall at Klontom Market, added that they already had standard orange juice for sale, but since LISA's post, both existing and new customers flocked to buy in significant numbers. Some even requested home deliveries, acknowledging the genuine impact of the "LISA effect" in Buriram. Does Pepsi spend all that money because they love those players? Or are there millions of idiots out there, all over the world, who will buy that drink because they saw some football players with cans of that drink? That is slightly different. It's about building a brand image through association and would mostly target people who drink cola anyway. I can't imagine many people who previously had zero interest in cola would seek out the drink simply because Messi is on the can (although you cannot completely rule it out). This is just people seeing someone drinking orange juice and wanting to do the same thing. Literally "Oh, Lisa is drinking orange juice. I want to drink orange juice now." Are they even drinking the same type of orange juice? It doesn't look like any freshly squeezed orange juice I've ever seen, and it it doesn't look like what Lisa is drinking either. todlad Posted July 26, 2023 Posted July 26, 2023 Lisa is a very popular young lady and in these days of online and other influencers, she is followed by millions, young and old alike. Example, we recently got a dog and when we started discussing a name for, our eight year old instantly said it should be Lisa!! Our dog is called Lisa. Remember when Lisa, not our dog, said she liked a dish from a small food stall near Buriram railway station? They had three hour queues for a while after that. Personally, I don’t like that orange juice. There is a sinister twist to this. Because Lisa is an internal star, she works with many organizations and brands, one of which was a whisky company. The sinister aspect is that a very shady Thai government spokesman warned children of the potential consequences of being seen to endorse such a product in any way … he was warning children. Like it or not, we have to look after our kids! Otherwise, Lisa and BlackPink are very popular in our household!

They're just finding some random OJ on a stall somewhere. It makes no sense.
