In an incident at 04:00 AM on August 22, 2566, Lieutenant Colonel Chonlawit Atthiphan, Deputy Head of Pattaya City Police Station, was informed about a car accident involving a sports car that crashed into a barrier and flipped over.

The accident occurred on Sukhumvit Road, heading towards Sattahip, before the Wat Bun Kanchanaram intersection in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. Responding rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene, reported 77kaoded.

The collision involved a black Honda sports car with the license plate number 9กต5756 Bangkok, which collided with a barrier, causing it to flip over and obstruct the road. The driver, Ms. Siwaporn Sisuan, aged 28, sustained minor injuries.

A witness, Mr. Jakrawut Nakchai, aged 29, mentioned that the injured driver probably didn't notice the barrier due to ongoing road surface repairs, resulting in the collision that flipped the car. Mr. Nakchai and his younger brother, who were driving behind the sports car, assisted in freeing the injured driver before notifying authorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Chonlawit Atthiphan collected evidence from the scene and expressed intentions to review CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident. It's noteworthy that ongoing road surface repair projects in Pattaya have been reported to lack clear warnings and sufficient lighting at certain spots, leading to repeated accidents without substantial improvements.

With all the slow-moving roadworks, I am surprised MAKRO hasn't shut down.  I've given up a couple of times after waiting half an hour at Chaiapruek lights.

Nope... the 'car' didn't crash into the barrier....  the driver did.

Again, Thailand finds a way to blame the inanimate instead of a person...

In this case, numerous faults.

- Person driving the car too fast for conditions (visibility).

- Road workers not illuminating road works.

- Police not penalising dangerous driving

- Police not penalising owners of companies who fail to adequately illuminate roadworks.

Are the polite waiting for the CCTV footage so they can to tell if the driver was pished out of his head at 4am ???... or will they rely on the scientific method ? (which is usually avoided here so the BiB don't have more work to do and file criminal charges).
