I should imagine an extra office.

The current office is quite new.

Current office is closing and relocating.

To where? When? Oops, my bad. Central Festival is much closer.

Been told it's closing 13th this month and reopening on 18th at Central.

Can confirm the new CP TM office is up and running. It seems to be a full service office. (Well, as full a service as before the move.). The office is at the W end of the complex, ‘behind’ the passport office. You need to leave the main building and cross the road into the carpark. (Difficult to describe!)

Piece of cake, if you drive into center from Old Phaholyothin Road drive straight into the under cover car park and it's on your right on the other side of the car park.

Looks like a temp job to me, I'd be inclined to believe the airport office is being renovated.

Parking a bike at Central is a nightmare.
If I go to Tops I have to get there before 9 am and if there is space put the bike right outside the front entrance, when it isn't blocked off with tape and metal barriers.

How far is the Immigration from the front entrance ?

It’s right at the back, John. Is there no other bike parking at the other end?

Coming in from the back (western entrance) there is a large open parking area on your left as you reach the undercover car park.

I would say that this would be 50 meters from the office,

Thank you kindly.

Lets hope it ain't permanent.

It looked temp to me.

I had a chat to the boss lady there today, she said that the move is permanent.

Well I went today to look, and followed ur red line into the underground park, went all around to the exit and saw no sign of an immigration office.

The open area on the left is all blocked off with men working there.

Is this place in the car par park or what.  Is it upstairs.
I dunno.

I drove into the car park entrance this morning, turned right, parked and i was about 10meters/ 30 feet from the front door.

You cannot see it until you walk down to the mall and look right.

If you know where Advice IT is and walk out of the nearest exit you will be directly opposite the entrance to Immigration.

Yes, permanent move, according to what the officers have told several expats who've asked.

That's a good map, explains why I missed it, I just rode through on my bike, had to concentrate on the bumps and not hitting anything so was difficult to search around.

Another GOOD reason to continue using Mae Sai office rather than the disaster called Chiang Rai Immigration.

Actually, from the old location to Mae Sai Immigration Office, is 60.3km (attached).

I've always had great service from the Chiang Rai office, better than Mae Sai. I think it depends on which IO you get on the day.

The black Cats with white feet and tummy are good luck.

90 day report and another thing went smoothly today but I was surprised to see that there was no parking available near the office on the ground floor at 9.30am.

I'm sure I've parked there early before.

so lunch break is midnight til 1 pm...that is one nice long lunch break....

Even the US officially changed their attitude to 12 am and 12pm a few years ago. Of course both are impossible as there's no 12 before 12 or 12 after 12. Let's all agree on 12 noon and 12 midnight. Less uncertainty and confusion.
