Summary judgment is granted when there are no other facts to be tried. All of the necessary statements and evidence are already in front of the judge, and there’s no way to obtain more information.

Summary judgment is granted when the facts can be decided upon without needing to go to trial, where the opposing party would lose due to a lack of evidence. If it’s not clear that there is no more evidence, then summary judgment must be denied.

New York says Trump should be found liable for fraud, even before a trial

New York's attorney general on Wednesday asked a state judge to declare, even before the start of a trial, that Donald Trump committed fraud by submitting false statements to bankers and insurers and overstating his net worth by up to $2.23 billion.

In filings with a state court in Manhattan, Attorney General Letitia James said evidence in her civil case showed "repeated and persistent fraudulent use" by Trump and his family business of false and misleading financial statements from 2011 to 2021.

Sorry I can't accept PBS as a credible or reliable souce on biden/trump issues. Just look at this absolute nonsense. Lies from start to finish and misinforming voters with dangerous conspiracy theories. Shame on you PBS

"And part of that effort specifically was to oust the chief prosecutor who was considered particularly ineffective. And when it came to Burisma, U.S. diplomats said that that prosecutor was ineffective because he had not pursued corruption allegations against Burisma.

So, by pushing to get the prosecutor fired, Vice President Biden was actually making it more likely that the Ukrainian government would investigate the company that had his son the board."

And for a dose of factual reality confirming the silly conspiracy theory the left establishment peddled that Burisma was paying the Biden's illicit millions to fire a complicit prosecutor in order to get a new one to ride Burisma harder (people actually believe this??!)

"Shocking emails reveal Hunter Biden helped coordinate a plan with Democrat strategists to 'close down any cases' against the owner of allegedly corrupt Ukrainian gas firm Burisma and 'gain intelligence' on the country's top prosecutor's office."

Hunter Biden devised plan to 'close down' US probe into Burisma founder by Viktor Shokin - who was … https://mol.im/a/12453245

If you read the entire article it does not state that Hunter Biden did anything.  The closest thing to maybe something done by Hunter is a report of second hand info that Hunter called "DC".  Also, the fact that the emails are from a laptop that was in unknown hands for an extended period of time raises suspicions.

Shokin now claims he was fired for investigating Burisma.  I wonder why it took so long for him to make the claim.

Edit:  Here are the reasons why Shokin was fired.  https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrainealert/shokin-s-revenge-ukraine-s-odious-prosecutor-general-fires-honest-deputy-before-parliament-sacks-him/
