Patong – A Tuk Tuk taxi driver has surrendered after shooting another Tuk Tuk taxi driver, who sustained serious injuries. The two men worked at the same taxi stand.

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (September 5th) a Thai man identified only as Mr. Kosit, 36, has surrendered to the Patong Police while accompanied by his lawyer.

Kosit was a wanted suspect from an arrest warrant issued by the Phuket Provincial Court for the accusation of attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying gun in public without a proper reason, and opening fire in public.

Yep, happened a few time with tourists.  One example.

"A British journalist is facing up to five years in prison in Thailand after being found in possession of body armor and other protective gear.
Tony Cheng, a freelance correspondent for Chinese state broadcaster CGTN, told CNN he was charged Monday night with possessing “war weapons” after
being stopped with German colleague Florian Witulski at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport."
