Many Pheu Thai election manifesto promises were missing from the policy statement delivered by PM Srettha Thavisin to parliament, said Move Forward MP deputy leader Sirikanya Tansakul on Monday.

“The policies lack specifics and commitments, as well failing to provide timelines for implementation,” Sirikanya said.

She was speaking in parliament after Srettha delivered his administration’s policy statement. Sirikanya was the first MP to take the floor to criticise it.

Governments reneging on promises, who would have thought ?

Now who would have thought that to be outcome of negotiations with government in Thailand!

It's good that Move Forward brings these issues to the open.

Now imagine if there would be talk shows on TV and lots of voters asking for details.

We promise to deliver our pledges.

The bulk of the criticism (95 %)of the government's "policy statements" as presented yesterday was mostly about it's unprofessional, slap-dash nature. With vague "plans" and very little detail on timelines and metrics.

And very little criticism (5 %) was about the breaking of campaign promises.

Most of his plans were just bullet points, representing "ideas".

Srettha earned a failing grade, but as is the custom here, he was given a Thai "C", because, well, no one can be failed.

Srettha appears to be lazy, unprofessional and unable to forge, let alone lead this alliance.

He's doomed, and the powers that be will ride him into the ground.

It will get much much uglier.

Who wrote the policy speach? Any guesses?

Just repeat PM Prayut's policy statement before the NLA in September 2014. Nothing has changed.
