Pattaya police have apprehended the son of a renowned physician, who was driving a sleek BMW and staying at an upscale hotel, suspected of vandalizing and robbing high-value assets to fund his lavish party lifestyle. This arrest comes after multiple previous encounters with law enforcement, leaving authorities baffled.

On September 14, Pol. Col. Thanapong Phothisat, the chief of Pattaya City Police, disclosed that a joint task force comprising investigators and tourist police had apprehended Mr. Kongpop Euanjit, a 42-year-old, on charges of endangering life and property, driving vehicles for criminal activities, and aiding stolen property. The arrest took place at a luxury hotel in North Pattaya, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

A search of Kongpop's black BMW luxury car, registered with Bangkok plates, yielded substantial foreign currency, assorted gemstones, two wristwatches, five amulets, and two credit cards belonging to two Chinese businessmen victims hidden under the car seat cover, serving as critical evidence.

 

Following a string of high-value asset thefts in the area, vigilant officers tracked down Kongpop, using closed-circuit cameras to identify him. They then laid an ambush at the luxurious hotel where he was residing, ultimately capturing him, reorted Daily News

Pattaya — A thief who smashed the window of a van belonging to two wealthy Chinese businessmen and made off with cash and valuables worth over one million baht was arrested at a Pattaya hotel on Thursday evening, just as he was about to throw a celebration party.

The arrest took place on the evening of September 14th, at a hotel in Jomtien whose name was not disclosed by police.

 

The Pattaya Police yesterday immediately began hunting down the suspect who had broken into a Volkswagen van of two Chinese businessmen and made away with several belongings including multiple foreign currencies, expensive bags, and important documents.
