My Thai Tax Office Tax Filing Experience...
Well, I don't see any positive outcome here except more admin burden and potential tax to pay, and that's not really a benefit. I mean if TRD, during an audit, can't come up with your foreign credit cards statement asking to justify it, then it just does not exist (as the millions baht in cash/gold/jewelry under your mattress). -

Thailand's New Digital Arrival Card Stirs Confusion Among Travellers
... but without having some form of qr displayable, is it a maybe that you won't even get through CheckIn?? Airlines would be afraid of copping fines for accepting customers who might be stopped from Boarding... meanwhile what 3G phones don't have a camera? Thailand's New Digital Arrival Card Stirs Confusion Among Travellers
What about those digital unmanned immigration smart gates on départure of Bangkok airport ? No immigration stamp. One just scans foreign passport in the reader and presto the gates opens. It's really great and for the moment, it works. But on next trip when comming back ? If a troublemaking immigration officer asks "how long you stay last time ?" How to prove that one left before expiration of the Visa as there is no stamp on the passport ?? Of course it all goes in a registered immigration database obviously. But on seeing how some nimble brains, are sitting in immigration booths, anything can be possible to make trouble for the farang arriving. They don't like foreigners, but do love our money. -

American man and Thai wife lose 15.2 million baht in Hua Hin property fraud
Well, verifying is one step but hopefully you've done more than that before you hire someone--here or anywhere else, for that matter, especially if money is involved. There are cheats and thieves everywhere--anyone remember Bernie Madoff? For my spouse and myself, we buy here because we like to be owners, not renters. We really hate living in someone else's space. Simple as that--and, life is short. Through twentysome properties here, it's always worked out, actually very nicely. I always say thank goodness we haven't been renting here for 14 years--we'd likely still be in the same 48 sqm View Talay 3 studio we started out with. But, that's us. Real estate is definitely not 'one size fits all. For many, renting can be the better option here. -

4 Israeli men fined for causing chaos at hospital in Mae Hong Son
Thailand is their first stop after fiishing military service, normally full moon party, they don't have a good reputation there either, not all are the same, but it seems to be the majority. Heard they've taken over certain parts of Pai. Unlike them I know😃 -
