A WOMAN living in Bueng Kan province who lost over 30,000 baht in an electricity bill scam issued a warning for others to be careful and not fall for such tricks, TV Channel 7 said Friday (Sep. 29).

Ministry of Labour plans to raise the retirement age with more workers opting out of the economy

Minister of Labour Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn (centre) has been in talks with the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Vice Chairman Mr Suchart Chantaranakaracha (Inset left) about research on employment patterns as the ministry plans to raise the retirement age from the current level of 55 years.


Thailand is destined to lose 15.6% of its active workforce in the next 17 years up to 2040 while the ratio of workers to retired seniors in the same period will halve from 3.6 to 1.8.

Wanted Man Arrested at Thai-Cambodian Border Connected to Phone Scam Operations

At Aranyaprathet Border Checkpoint, Sa Kaeo Province, Royal Thai Immigration officers and relevant agencies captured a wanted man identified only as Mr. Sorasin, 21 years old, allegedly involved in phone scam operations by opening mule bank accounts.

Acid attack survivor scammed out of motorbike by brutal loan shark

In a recent incident, a 26 year old woman from the Ban Ngang district of Buriram province found herself victimised twice over. Initially, the woman, Wunpen, suffered facial disfigurement and blindness from an acid attack by her ex-husband in 2020.

Thai man loses his life over 600 Baht debt

A shocking incident unfolded in the Srirang district of Nam Som, Udon Thani province, Thailand, at a brick and limestone factory. Mr. Kraiwith, a 45-year-old local resident, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his left chest. He was discovered lying in front of the factory, dressed in a blue t-shirt and long jeans, clutching 200 Baht.
