DLT, Medical certificate and CofR

I've got to renew my driver's licenses soon.

I'm located south Pattaya.

I would like to know where I go to get a medical certificate and price, also if I must get 2 originals (1 for car and 1 for motorcycle) certificates or can I make copy of original medical certificate and Certificate of residence.

Got my medical certificate a month ago at a clinic almost on the corner of third road and s.pattaya rd for 100 baht. If you need both car and bike licenses, you only need 1. Dlt accepts and original and a copy if you're doing both at the same time. Same with residency certificate.

As pointed out above .

One medical is sufficient if you renew both at same time.

You also require a certificate of residence.

You obtain that at your immigration office.

Despite what immigration will tell you.

And the clinic wanted to do a second one too. Extra 100bt I guess.

I tried to see if DLT would accept 2 copies of the med certificate, but the pleasant girls there wouldn't have any of that so I gave them the original that I had with me.

For the residence certificate one original and a copy is definitely enough (own experience last week). But the immigration wants to sell you two originals. Therefore, it is better to specify only car OR motorcycle when they ask.

As they are free what's the problem.

When was the last time that anyone got a residence certificate free from immigration?

I needed one about 18 months ago. 500 Baht in Khon Kaen (no receipt).
