These petty maga bitches will celebrate this pathetic act as a win. Governing and policies are never their interest nor forte.

It is a great win, actively addressing the great problems faced by America.

As an aside, I wonder who is pulling Patrick McHenry's strings, or was it really his top priority amongst the chaos following the Republican MAGA meltdown?

Momentous assholery.

The Trump-republican brand.

I can't see how this is going to help republicans politically beyond their core base of maga fascists.

I'm a  Democrat but Pelosi, like most "lifetime" politicians is way beyond her prime.

Really? And what do you offer as proof of that? During the previous Congress, she got Biden's bill through the House largely unscathed. Can you cite any evidence that supports a precipitous decline in her abilities over the last year?

Petty and not smart to make problems for one of the most influential democrats. Democrats the GOP will need.

Are you even imagining that Pelosi would work with the GOP? Given her past antics I doubt that. Hopefully she is out in the coming election.

Well, referring to Republicans as "MAGA bitches" appears to be OK, you're not calling that out...

You probably left it next to your race card, check there...

Anyway, good to see Pelosi getting the send off she deserves...

Oh look, you tried to wedge race into the discussion.

You do that s lot.

Calling people out for using the race card isn't "wedging race into the discussion".

But you already knew that...

Can you point out where anyone in this thread has even mentioned race, before you tried to wedge it into the discussion?

Tradition, honor, decency went out the window with the ascension of trump.

Obviously Mr. McCarthy could have done this as soon as he was voted Speaker, but he chose to honor tradition.

I'd advise Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Hoyer to vacate their special offices quietly, and not make a big deal out of this. Just let people realize how petty Republicans have become.

Shocking to think Patrick "short-stack" McHenry is third in line to POTUS.

Would have been awesome had the gavel broken on impact and hit him in the face. What doofus. Clearly he's compensating.

Fortunately he isn't.  As an appointed, rather than elected, successor, he would be passed over if presidential succession became an issue.

Yes, it's wonderful to see Pelosi's ignominious exit. :clap2:

Not a moment too soon.

She’s moved out of an office she’s nolonger entitled to use, because it now goes to McCarthy, the first speaker of the house to ever be ousted from office.
