A Thai patient visited an entertainment venue in Chaing Mai and allegedly admitted to having a threesome with two foreigners, subsequently testing positive for mpox. The Lamphun Provincial Public Health Office confirmed the latest mpox case in Thailand yesterday, October 4, marking it as the province’s first recorded instance.

Provincial public health doctor Suriyapong Suriyapongtakun reported today, October 5, that the 36 year old Thai patient, whose identity has not been reported, visited a private hospital in Chaing Mai on October 2 and tested positive for mpox.

Suriyapong said the patient visited an entertainment venue in Chaing Mai and took part in an orgy with two foreigners: one was Lebanese while the identity of the other foreigner was not disclosed. The Thai man is also an HIV patient.

Suriyapong said the patient had only mild symptoms, including flu-like symptoms, muscle aches, genital infections, swollen lymph nodes in the groin and fluid-filled bumps on his face, arms and penis.

The patient is now being treated at a private hospital in Chiang Mai. The man is a resident of Lamphun, so the case is being recorded under Lamphun.

Jesus. if this what you get for mild symptoms, I cannot imagine what the serious ones are like.

I'm like 99% sure that's a stock photo and not a photo of the patient in question but it does sound a bit nasty from the description.

oh dear'    so the Thai is having sex threesome when he's HIV positive,   that is ignorant, irresponsible, foolish,  dangerous,  and down right disgusting .... he should be locked away for doing so.

Agreed but what about the other two, did they not care he had:

"genital infections, swollen lymph nodes in the groin and fluid-filled bumps on his face, arms and penis." ??

Keywords; The Thai man, also an HIV patient, and partaking in an orgy with two others? Just another cheeky day in Amazing Thailand.

Very probably happening a thousand times every day in every country.

HIV patient has a threesome with 2 strangers?  Is their HIV/AIDS or even sex education in LOS?

Yes, you obviously also need to go to school for education about HIV/AIDS - HIV is only relevant in this story if the person with the HIV is NOT on medication and NOT undetectable. Any person that has a decent knowledge of this would know that NEVER in the history of HIV/AIDS has anyone ever transmitted the virus when they are undetectable. If the Thai man was undetectable at the time of sex he could have sex with a million people unprotected and not transmit it ! Suggest you read up on it.

Not one mention that the Thai man with HIV had an undetectable viral load, or was on medication but irrelevant of that fact is someone had Monkeypox and seems they were easily passing it around like candy on Halloween.

The article did not mention whether or nor the person was HIV undetectable.  If the persons HIV status was not relevant then why was it even mentioned in the article?

I don't live in that world, so I wouldn't know, but maybe you do?

AFAIK, we all live on the same world, planet Earth, including you. Or do you mean that you need to be homosexual to know that unprotected gay sex exists in other countries other than Thailand?  Perhaps you can meditate a little bit that HIV and mpox did not originate in Thailand.
