Yes, you are right, he has massive problems even with his Norwegian, not to mention trying in English. According to my brother his partner had people after him, probably loan sharks or god only knows what. My brother being in hospital for so long and not able to provide his Thai partner money might be the reason he needed the money. Thai partner did not work, just living of my brothers disability pension from Norway. That is all I know. 1

He was released from hospital 2 days before this crazy thing happened, after nearly dying from a massive stroke from a bloodclot, that caused him to fall and get a brainbleed on top of everything. He was in intensive care for 3 weeks before he was moved to different department. He has had brain surgery, as well as surgery to remove a bloodclot from his leg. He is paralyzed on his right side, therefor can not walk, as well as he got afasi, meaning he has massive problems speaking, and understanding properly. He also have problems with his memory. He does NOT have HIV, nor ALS. Just more lies about him. So yes, this is the "MURDERER" so many dare call this poor sick man, who is the nicest person in this world and has NEVER hurt anyone in his whole life. He has wasted all he had on helping all his socalled Thai friends, hundreds of thousands of Norwegian kr, never a no from him if anyone needed anything. This is the type of person my brother is, and we are totally shocked by the awful treatment he has received in this country. We only wish we can get him out from there and back home to proper care and traing after his stroke. Never had any want to go to Thailand myself but have always warned against this dangerous corrupted country and lack of proper system, so sad it had to come to this for me to be proven right. So a good idea to read Thai news after a handful of salt first, they are lying their heads off. I am by my heart standing by this statement. I know this guy and what he has been thru. I cannot say what happened that night in that home, but it seems very unlikely, under his conditions that he would have done anything like this. Please dont delete this. 1 3 1 2 3

So a good idea to read Thai news after a handful of salt first, they are lying their heads off. A close friend of mine was involved in a horrific tragedy that resulted in a fatality. The police obviously had some sleazeball reporters on speed dial, as they showed up within minutes. These reporters did their best to make my friend look guilty. They started 'who done it" internet discussions that would get them a lot of clicks on their <deleted>ty websites. <deleted> them. In the end he was declared innocent and released after a month or so in Thai remand prison. It was traumatic to say the least. My advice - Be very careful with Thai lawyers. Get one from a different province (Bangkok) who will be much less likely to be working with corrupt cops from Chiang Mai. Also get some Thai you can trust to go to the courthouse with you to get the real amount if bail is granted. We had a hell of a time getting to the bottom of that, with all sorts of slimeball cops/lawyers trying to get him to cough up millions of baht. Never seen anything like it and the staff at the courthouse were purposely unhelpful. In the end it was only 125k baht to get him bailed out. It was posted on the wall for public to view, but not a single person of the period of about 3 weeks would tell us this simple fact. 1 1 1 1

So a good idea to read Thai news after a handful of salt first, they are lying their heads off. Thanks sis. Obviously the peanut gallery here doesn't know what happened, but as you can see in my previous post, I was already skeptical about his so called confession. Confessions under duress especially when there is a language barrier are common in many parts of the world. It's much much easier to just instantly "solve" a case than to actually solve it (which is hard work and often never gets solved). Add to that that he is gay and a foreigner and it's even easier to pin it on him. It is fair that he is a suspect because he was on the scene, and more often than not it's the closest people that are guility. But not always! As far as the HIV thing, not sure of that came from the police, the "press", or both, but keep in mind this is also a very common manifestation of homophobia, to see a physically ill gay man and just mindlessly label it HIV. Again it's easier that way. As I said before I hope he gets a fair trial, and if what you're saying is the truth, I don't see why he would need to be subject to a trial at all. 1 1 2 1

amykat Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Dear Sister, Be aware that many lawyers here are not trustworthy and will flat out scam you/steal your money as one poster above has suggested. Everyone is going to be looking for some extra money from you, so be ready. Also be ready to negotiate it way down, if you are going to pay it. Often if you pay someone’s first price here, they will rethink it, come back and ask for more! 1
