Does anyone know what happened to the Duck restaurant just about opposite the “international School of Tourism” – (Suratthani Rajabhat University), Duck Chumchong Chaweng Yai Soi 4?

Map reference - https://maps.app.goo.gl/39cGPUh3k3NWocBR7

They were going to close and move before Covid kicked in and I was wondering whether or not they had survived Covid and continue to trade elsewhere on the island.

Their food needless to say was fantastic.

It still is very good and they are still there, I ate there today.

It is popular so you have to get there early (at latest 1 o'clock) because they serve Khao Kha Mo after they are sold out of duck.

I went past in March and they weren't there.

THey actually closed BEFORE Covid as they were moving - are you saying they've returned to the same spot?

Do you have a photo?

Nah, I don't do photos of food I eat or the restaurants.

Do check the dates of the photos from your google map link or go check for yourself if it is the same duck restaurant  today as it was before covid.

don't want a photo of the food - just updated photo of the place

On google there is one photo now dated 2022 - it looks like an older photo though. all the rest are precovid -  2019 / 2018

I will check it out again next time I'm on Samui.

Give me a precise location on a map, than I'll snap a photo next time I pass.

Weren't there two right next to one another? One selling chicken and rice, and the other duck and rice? Not the same restaurants, but shared the same seating?

Last night – I pass two-three times a week at night as frequent nightclub guest – if you need a daytime snap, please respond, then I'll get down there next time I shop in Makro or Lotus's...

Thanks - that's the place - but it's changed - they've moved along one plot - there used to be a coffee place between them and Chapayom. THe big stainless steel cabinet with all the ducks hanging in it has gone.

I wonder if the woman who ran it is still there or whether they've just sold it on.
