How is the flooding situation in Pattaya & Jomtien?

Featured Replies

Just had to open a new thread regarding the torrential rain season. How is it with the flooding? Is it running away quickly or something that lasts for days in several places? Will it be easy to travel and arrive with car to different destinations in Jomtien?

What flooding? It's hardly rained at all this wet season

Drainage in Pattaya has improved a lot, at least on the Pattaya side of Sukhumvit.  It still floods during torrential rain but clears pretty quickly.

Jomtien has a lot of open space to absorb water so rarely any flooding.

@dddave Thanks a lot for the info. ????

But he said it still floods in Pattaya but it hasn't as no rain ????

They just finished the new drain pipes between soi Bukhao and 2nd road 3 weeks ago so time will tell if it still floods down to the beach

Thanks for the input. Out of what I read in the news it has. However, you know better.

We had one heavy thunderstorm about 10-12 days ago overnight  that caused some flooding in the usual areas..... beyond that little. So there is no flooding situation.

Ok, Thanks!

From June 1 to September 27, I could count the days of rain on one hand.

Can you say, "drought?"

Live in Jomtien and had no rainy season this year. Gotta be one of the driest in past 20 years. True alot of Thailand, especially Isaan, is under water...but not down here.

Wonderful, Thanks

Heavy rain now on the Darkside, expect more flooding in Kao Noi and the railway road
