yeah but what is a "burger"?

it has 3 components - ground beef, bread, and fries. 2 out of 3 are carbs.

surprising you're not fat with all the carbs you eat.

when you eat carbs, you feel hungry every 2 hours.

cheese burger and chips are unhealthy because of the fat in cooking the burger, cheese, dressings and deep fried chips, processed food is best avoided, eat that type of food regularly you'll get fatter definitely.

Look up what processed food means and avoid

Damn that was good. Top 3 burgers I made at the house. Just above medium, roll was freshest I've ever bought from Makro, so didn't even bother putting it on the griddle. Aro 100% Angus, 304gr @ ฿95, so two excellent burgers, for about ฿75 each.

Better than any vendor put out for less than ฿150-200. For reference, Whopper beef patty is 110gr.

Ridiculous that you didn't toast the bun...and where are the toppings? Looks as dry as a bone. Did you even warm the bread? Rather you than me 😊

A bit of balance to your self-praise 🤗

Reading comprehension goes a long way ... for some. Surprised you didn't critique the 'red' Dijon mustard.

When testing out a new package of ground beef, I want to test the beef itself. If I wanted to add salad, I would, as I have in the past ...

... thanks for you 'inciteful' contribution to the thread, we wouldn't expect anything less from you ... Troll along now

How about you get over yourself? If you cannot accept criticism, perhaps you should refrain from posting pictures of food and then give yourself high praise. A little humility goes a long way. It doesn't look good to me.

I described what you posted. A dry and unappetising looking thing that you described as 'Top 3'. Rather you than me...thank goodness.

If you just wanted to "test the beef", what your excuse for not toasting the bun? It's just poor, in my opinion. Apologies if it hurts your feelings.

If you imagine that these latest two pictures you posted look any better, especially the one with the cheap looking plastic cheese, then it's fair to state we have quite different standards.

I'll leave you to yours. Enjoy the rest of your day.

So you can see the dry burger patty through that cheese ... can you, really ? "Top 3" that I've made at home, not worldwide, as that would be presumptuous, though possibly not incorrect cheesy

Hmm ... 'dry' .... I can barely see beef at all, though I do see some 'juiciness', lower right, and left of the burger ...

You done trolling, or going to come back with some other stupid comment ?

That I won't see in the future. BYE BYE

Why so oversensitive? I referred to the burger bun not being toasted and the lack of juicy toppings and for that matter, appropriate garnishes. So the thing, overall, looked quite dry and unappetising. That's what I think. So sorry that you are unable to accept valid criticism. You obviously think your burger making prowess cannot be surpassed.

I thought only Europeans had the barbaric habit of putting ketchup on a burger.

I don't do ketchup, as way too much sugar in all. Just Roza tomato sauce, which has a wee bit much in it also. Do need some, to balance out acidity of tomatoes, maybe.

Wife didn't believe me and did a side by side with Heinze ketchup packet from Pizza Co ... "holy crap, WTF ... too sweet" cheesy

Roza ... 15% sugar, Heize (50% more) @ 22.8% sugar. Heinze also less Tomato, as sugar is 3rd ingredient @ 22.8%, with vinegar 2nd.

... "Heinz Tomato Ketchup ; Carbohydrates, 27 g ; Sugar content in carbohydrates, 27.0 g" ...

Got to read those labels, though taste tells you right away, between those 2 items.

Heinz ... AI ... "While not always a precise number like "40% tomato," the "tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes" being the first ingredient signifies it's the highest percentage by weight." ...

Roza sugar 2nd ingrediet @ 15%, so assuming more tomato used.

... AI ... "ROZA Tomato Sauce in Thailand contains either 75% or 65% tomatoes, depending on the product type" ...

Roza ketchup has no sugar, or to be correct, <1g per serving of 15 gram.

Uses Stevia as the sweetener. Not sure, taste wise that would be better. Nice that the don't use sugar though.

Kudos for that. Tried Stevia as a sweeter years back, and didn't warm up to up. I actually don't mind sugar, and don't consider it the demon, well 'natural sugar' itself, as a sweetener. For things I want to taste sweet, though tomato sauce, not being one of them.

But when it comes to total carbs / sugar in my overall diet, yea, then it's the demon. Cut as much starchy carbs that I can, so not as guilt ridden when eating my sweets. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.

Where does it say it uses Stevia?

In the picture I posted it is marked as ketchup, on the bottle itself it says tomato concentrate, and it is not sweet at the slightest

Prefer just to use tomatoes, if wanting added flavor, but out of and hate shopping on weekends.

One does have to wonder how they market things, just wee bit deceptive, while being honest.

.... "0.05% of (310 grams) = 0.155 grams

Strange they add lycopene at all, especially that minute amount, and just marketing. As the tomato processing itself should produce more than enough for benefits.

Same same,

Everyone has their own idea on what makes a good cheeseburger and it they like it that's all that matters. Americans like myself have used Ketchup all along, although I use it very sparingly now.

If you have good beef with a decent amount of fat, onion, either raw or grilled, good cheese (I prefer Swiss, but American, Cheddar or others is okay), a toasted bun so it's not soggy and the meat cooked with McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning (one of the best brands for all meats), that's all you need. Some use mustard, which is okay but not as good as Ketchup, Mayonnaise (never), and A1. Too much of anything takes away the flavor of the meat instead of complimenting it.

Dinner last night was chicken breaded with Progresso Italian Bread Crumbs and pan fried, (brought back from the US) mashed potatoes with brown gravy.

Weekends, it's what's in the fridge, as don't shop Sat/Sun. Left over beef juices in the pan from the burger yesterday, so add some more beef tallow, and diced mushrooms, then rest of ground beef. And we got a stroganoff thingy (prepped yesterday), put atop left over egg noodles from wife's kimchi soup thingy. And dinner is served ...

Barbecued up some pork tenderloins. Then did some skewers of veg, onions, garlic, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Served with a yellow rice pilaf.

A Moroccan Beef Roti Wrap ... and NO, haven't a clue what that would be or look like, but it's my story, and that the exotic food I wanted it to be.

That tasty beef again. Actually planned on small thing brekkies steak, but changed my mind. Marinated the beef, quick sear, and still tender enough (if sliced thin). Tomatoes, onions, pickles & secret sauce (caesar dressing, siracha & mustard), shh, wrapped in a roti. DAMN TASTY

Saku Tuna ... almost blackened w/wasabi sauce and tomato
