In a recent incident that gained attention on social media, Pattaya police are investigating an altercation involving two young women, identified as members of the LGBTQ community, and a Russian man.

The incident, captured on video, showed the women chasing and physically confronting the man along the shores of Pattaya Beach, reported Siam Rath.

The video, which lasted over a minute, included derogatory remarks and shouting, with onlookers asking, "Are you a ladyboy?" and calling for the police before the parties eventually separated. The incident occurred on the night of October 13, 2023.

On October 16, 2023, Pol. Col. Thanapong Photithi, the Chief of Pattaya City Police, led a team to investigate the matter.

They identified one of the women from the video as Mr. Yiem, or Lizzie, a resident of Nong Khai Province. Upon questioning, Yiem admitted to being involved in the fight seen in the video.

He explained that he and his friends, including three Russian men and one Russian woman, were drinking at the beach when an argument escalated into a physical confrontation with the Russian man referred to as "Muulan." Yiem and Muulan later made up and continued drinking together.

The police have recorded this information as evidence, but legal action cannot proceed without a formal complaint from the injured party. The investigation continues as authorities await further details.
