If they wanted marriage they would make you wait for you to commit. But they dont. However in Dans case she was a sex worker and was looking for a commitment. I think you would be correct. I have seen many Englishmen over the years in Thailand complain that the Thais cant speak English. Taxi drivers, waitresses, shop assistants, maids etc. I have tried explaining to them that if a Thai had gone to the trouble of learning a foreign language they probably will be more ambitious than to take a low income job like a maid etc. I dont know if maids, taxi drivers etc in England are expected to study foreign language?
