Not much to do with any internal update. The setup for online success is much more complicated than that.

First, since Google took it away as a ranking factor, SEO´s are no longer putting effort into Page Speed. However, that is crucial, as a bad page speed regarding LCP, FCP and Blocking time, will combined give a very big minus on Page experience, which still is a ranking factor. 

Besides that, forums are one of the hardest object in the virtual world to optimize for ranking and high traffic, as most people write crap and publish it.

Another example is that there will almost always be too many headlines related to the paragraph content, which also will return a minus for good optimization and not be following Google guidelines.

After that, there are far too many unused Java scripts on the site, which contributes to long loading time. The site is also in need of removal of resources that are blocking page rendering.

On the upside, the page have not been falling in traffic lately, but instead been increasing traffic the last month. There is also possible to see that the page has a small uptrend. To me it looks like it´s starting to keep the referring domains regarding backlink juice, as well as the site have been moving in positive direction since the first Google core update this year.

I thought it was Bignok's thread . What did Bob Smith post (if that's his real name)

But I think it was BigNok , because the forum graphic suddenly got very big.

Maybe I start one thread while he started 20. But at least I had a reason for starting my thread which was not only: I want to post something new now, what should I do. No idea. So just do anything.

Personally I prefer a forum with only 5 interesting threads compared to one with 100 useless threads.

I ignore threads from both. But they still show up on the right side in the list. I wish that (I guess for me personalized) list would filter out threads from people who are on my ignore list.

Only 5 threads would not generate ads. Advertisers need volume not quality.

If a multi billionaire were to take over and pay the bills ( as with Al Jazeera ) volume would not be needed, so the forum would become more interesting.

Anyone know some billionaire willing to take AN on?

But maybe with quality there would be more quality members over time.

I am still here because I am too lazy to look for an alternative.

But I am pretty sure if I would just arrive in this forum I wouldn't stay.

I am working on a new topic at the moment called "If I have a wart on my nose does that make me a witch" but still some work to do on it before it goes to press.
