60-day visa exemptions are now unlimited at land borders
There are a couple points near Chiang Mai which are now offering either agent-service (reported 4K Baht) for immediate-return OR you must stay out 1 night, and provide an exit-ticket plus "show the money" (10K baht) upon entry. In years past (pre-covid), some Malaysian entry points were also requiring it, including with a Tourist Visa. They now also are reported to have a "same day return" agent-service for visa-exempt border-bounces. -

Requirements for UK passport renewal
There is no law and no one in 18 years has been able to reference any part of the Civil and Commercial Code, that say syou have to carry your passport at all times. Evidence suggests that the "reasonable time" principle holds good - although there are stories of the police not making it easy to access said passport (by detaining the holder). -

I have decided I am going to write a book about my life experiences in Thailand.
Having been in East Asia and SE Asia, since I first flew to Yokohama in 1971, a very long time, I might have a few stories to tell. However, I would say that almost nobody is interested in my stories. I have a few good stories concerning the HighHeel Club and Bottoms Up Club in HK, though. Personally, having lived my stories, I find them rather boring. -

THAI RED GARLIC
You are not giving a lot away, where in Thailand, are you looking ,garlic likes cool weather ,you are coming in January, by then almost the end of the cool season ,come to mid-February starts to warm up ,garlic will not grow ,unless you are on top of a mountain in the North of Thailand .and most of the harvested crop would have been sold ,or in store waiting to be sold. Most of the Garlic in my area is white garlic, as the wife said they is no red garlic in Thailand, we have purple garlic, you do not mean the red shallots type onions. -
