Pattaya — An Indian tourist alleged that he was physically assaulted by a motorbike taxi driver in Pattaya. The incident occurred after the victim had parked his motorcycle in front of a market, which the suspect claimed was a designated spot for taxi motorcycles only.

Mr. Somnath Saha, a 39-year-old Indian national, reported to Pattaya police at 01:30 AM on December 4th that he had been attacked by an unidentified Thai male in front of an unnamed market on Pattaya Second Road, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

According to Mr. Somnath, the Thai man approached him and requested him to move his motorcycle. Acknowledging that he might have parked in an area reserved for taxi motorcycles, Mr. Somnath gave the man a wai (a Thai gesture of apology) and began relocating his motorcycle.

...an unidentified thai male + an unnamed market on pattaya second road.....

i don't know if the thai police think like me, but in my opinion, even sherlock holmes would have great difficulty finding the culprit.

So you'd be ok with being hit on the side of the head?

'Pattaya police are investigating the incident and currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area in an attempt to identify the assailant'.

Job done.  We can all sleep easier tonight. (After 4am.)

Don't be such a sissy, all that was hurt was his pride

Did he really dare to park on the holy ground of our beloved motorbike taxi riders!!!!

What an audacity

These "reserved parking" spaces are usually not marked in any way.

A bunch of riders in vests? Beware!!

You will just note from the shouting that you better get off quickly.

These news articles are just stupid. No name of the market at all. Why the hell even bother reporting such nonsense?

Can't hear the other side of the story when nobody knows the name of the market as it's unnamed and the Thai man is unidentified lol

Only if I did something to deserve it.

Nothing will happen, we all know that both motorcycle taxis and regular taxi drivers are above the law, any and all laws, state, federal, army, whatever institution you can think of the taxi mafia is above their law. They are untouchable.
