Has anyone else noticed an increase in this recently?

I took a walk through the park this morning and 3 older thai women held a tissue up to cover their nose when I was walking past them.

Then as I looked back over my shoulder they removed the tissue and carried on walking as normal.

I have noticed it numerous times over the past few weeks when out and about,

mostly women without a mask will cover their mouth with their hand or a tissue when they see a foreigner approaching them,

then when they pass they will remove their hand/tissue.

It’s strange behavior to say the least…

Yep, seen it myself, just yesterday a pal and I had it happen in an outside coffee shop.

We walk past a table of Thais, and they all pull their masks up.

I blame Anutin for telling them foreigners are all disease carriers.

Thais were already xenophobic pre covid.

No, it’s absolutely true. She says “all farang smell bad” I think it’s because many farangs eat dairy products and produces a foul smell. We were at maeka last year and a large family of Northern Europeans had a horrific stench, she said same smell but very very bad.

You haven't been down to a 7Eleven or corner store lately... or a supermarket. They all have an extensive supply of dairy products. Thais consume quite a lot of dairy if they can afford it.
