Gave up on it mainly because Selena's voice gets on my nerves (how is she famous!) but also neither Martin Short or Steve Martin are remotely funny. I did love Steve in Airplane though (Joke, Leslie Nielsen had to stand in for him to make it funny).

I did download an older movie, "Pandorum" to watch last night and it was okay, although one poster has said he was disappointed with the ending, however I thought it was okay – – at least it ended on a bright note! About Alpha Dog, I had watched a youtube video about the true story first. I get that watching it cold could would be confusing. Edited October 12 by Jingthing 1

Hmm, Selena is attractive, not beautiful but still attractive, and i would say a great actor. I would say in the show she's the perfect Mabel Now Sazz, that takes it to a whole another level Edited October 13 by GinBoy2
xylophone Posted October 13 Posted October 13 (edited) I very much like movies by Peter Jackson, including the Lord of the Rings movies, so I thought I would download and watch one of his older ones called, "The Lovely Bones" although I had watched it years ago but couldn't remember much about it! Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz and Saoirse Ronan star in it, along with Stanley Tucci, and IMO the movie is very good indeed. I have to say that just near the end of the movie when heaven beckons, the song, "The Song of the Siren" by "This Mortal Coil", plays and it really did send shivers down my spine, because it's such a beautiful song and it fitted in this movie so very well, so I have copied it below for you to hear. https://youtu.be/HFWKJ2FUiAQ Edited October 13 by xylophone 1

Jingthing Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Rykter. A hit in Norway with three seasons but each episode only about ten minutes. Basically fairly standard teen melodrama stuff but made more fresh with the social media angle and especially the setting on a fictional island off Bergen. I find most of the characters unlikeable and deserving of being slapped but that makes it fun. It's all on the tube. 1

Will27 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Hunting a Monster This one was really good. Couldn't find a trailer with English subtitles unfortunately. Carles undigs more of Gros's crimes and fights for justice. 1
paulikens Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Anyone know of any recent TV shows that have just straight couple relationships? Haven't seen any for years😃 1
novacova Posted October 16 Posted October 16 The wife dragged me to the theater today to see Death Wispier 2. For whatever reason she likes these kind of stupid movies. Anyway, walked in sat down, put the earplugs in slid the hat over my face and shut my eyes and could hear the obnoxious noise filtering through the earplugs. It was quite an annoying and horrific experience of obnoxious noise and screaming, a complete waste of two hours of my life, never again. 1

Although actually i was being sarcastic and didn't want a recommendation of a rom-com but was having a sarcastic dig at TV shows and why they insist on having multiple gay/lesbian couples in every TV show now. It's nonsense. For example only 6% of the UK population are members of the LGBTQ community. So, although i know TV isn't real they have to at least represent some sort of realism to it. In the film and TV world according to them it's the other way round and only 6% of people are straight. 1
