Why do they never stop at Zebra Crossings?
Which is of course the correct thing to do. However, I'd still offer caution to any motorcyclist stopping first at a Pedestrian Crossing, with lights and particularly one which is not traffic light controlled..... ... The risk of getting yourself killed here when on a motorcycle giving way at a pedestrian crossing is elevated IMO... So I can certainly understand the sentiment of many. -

I agree about not fighting a war forever with no end game. However I remember the narrative being when it started was, Russia would take Kiev in a week or less. The world was surprised he didn't storm in and conquer it quickly. Now they are saying the Russian army is pathetic, because it is. The fact is that in three years Russia has had little to no progress. There is not a single military advisor anywhere that is impressed by the Russian army. It doesn't matter because of the nuclear card. The west can't really truly attack Russia.
