I've had a fever for a few days.

Featured Replies

I've had a fever for a few days.

My whole body aches.

Not hungry.

Always tired .

Short of breath

Will this go away or do I need mediation, antibiotics or similar?

Over the years my body would take care of it naturally and I'd be fine in a couple of days

Too much missing information, go to a doc and get checked out.

If you have a fever best see a doctor who will prescribe the proper medication

I haven't got the will or energy to go out to see a doctor.

At times I feel a little dizzy.

Safer to stay at home.

Would it hurt to take antibiotics, I've got some at my home.

Get yourself to the nearest clinic or hospital to get diagnosed.

Waiting around to get better may have serious consequences.

Until you know what is wrong with you, taking anything turns you into a lab rat.

If it's a virus, antibiotics won't help. Taking paracetamol will mask the fever, and make a doctor's diagnosis more difficult.

Move.

Possible symptoms of covid

Fever or chills

Cough

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Fatigue

Muscle or body aches

Headache

New loss of taste or smell

Sore throat

Congestion or runny nose

Nausea or vomiting

Diarrhea

Perhaps test or more advisable to see a doctor.

put on a mask, walk to 7-11 and buy a test ffs

either way you just have to wait it out if its viral. That hasn't changed.

Zika is quite popular at the moment

Doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary, not worth your whining and whingeing. You'll be alright in a few days.

Toughen up.

Thank you to all of you that gave positive feedback.

I'm very sick at the moment, I find it really strange that members are commenting with spite, malicious and bitterness.

Seems so many people are miserable.

I'm not whining, just looking for answers on a medical forum.

I guess that's why there have been millions wasted on developing anti-viral medications.

Call a taxi. Or an ambulance.

Ambulance, bit extreme.

Still have to walk to and from the taxi.

To take any antibiotics on your own is the very worst idea. And did I interpret some posts correctly ? 42 degrees Celsious body temperature ? WIth that you could hardly even get to a hospital which you should immediately.

It's not often I see advice on ASEAN that might kill another poster.

Paxlovid is commonly used for COVID in the first few days, reducing serious illness by about 88%.

I am currently taking Aciclovir as a prophylactic against infection, as I am on a regime of other meds which suppress my immune system.

Sorry, I don't have time to waste educating you further.

if only i had the power my good fellow, if only.

I cant be bothered to indulge an attention seeker that cant be arsed to help themselves. A waste of time pandering to hypochondriacs as well.

The OP is sick and alone, perhaps you could use an empathy transplant yourself.

I've tried to offer useful advice, which is more than I can say for you.

I tend to agree with him, some posters take a nasty pill first thing in the morning.

Must be highly contagious judging from half the crap I read on the forum.
