Swiss retiree’s brutal attack on Thai woman sparks outcry in Trang

Not at all the same thing, the guy was out riding at night on a very busy road, maybe he wished it upon himself. It was an accident, this thing is not accidental, pure rage.

'...maybe he wished it upon himself' ?  Are you serious?  Way to blame the poor victim.  The driver admitted she was driving at a high rate of speed, hit the bike rider, and fled the scene, not offering any assistance to the victim.  Had she not been recklessly speeding, the accident might not have been fatal, or might not have happened at all.

Nonsense comment. The Pattaya incident was an accidenf, the Trang incident was a deliberate, brutal attack.

You think her not calling an ambulance and leaving him to die in a pool of blood was an accident?

You think she didn't notice her windscreen was completely shattered?

None of that makes the collision with the cyclist deliberate, therefore, it was an accident.

dont believe this story. willing to bet money it didnt happen like this at all.

Can you give me a scenario that justifies him beating the sh*t out of her? Other than she attacked him with a knife.

You don't think she should, then? @BritManToo made a perfectly valid comment.

Deflection, no connection, irrelevant, flogging his own deadhorse is what he is on about. You know that tho!

Did he have to provide a link for his own "attempted murder" (hit-and-run) OP?

No, but there again I don't think Britman is 73 years old nor that his hit and run was yesterday.

Not a British person in sight, long let it continue.

What's going on with the Swiss, are they putting something in the chocolates or have they all gone Cuckoo?

Find this hard to believe. More to story. She probably made racist comments or something.

What you find hard to believe is irrelevant. That she ‘probably made racist comments or something’ is wild speculation, and shows your own prejudice.

How did he move her cart, was it aggressively? If so she had every reason to say be polite.

Irrelevant.

Should he apologise to the cart?

She should have apologised for blocking his way, or at least said nothing at all. He did nothing wrong at that point.

Shouldn't matter if he moved her cart in an angry way. It's just metal (which she left in the middle of the aisle)

So why would he hit some random woman? Doesn't make sense

She pushed in or abused him or hit him first.

That's exactly what he said he wants, it means he will escape justice.

He should first be prosecuted and imprisoned and deported at the end of his imprisonment. He should also pay punitive damages and all medical costs

And that is what will happen.

Yes, as all the illegal boat people know, if they struggle to find our coast the French Police are happy to assist.

I don't think it justifies it, but she threw a bottle at him.

Are you serious? You're saying she deserved to be beaten up because she left her cart in his way and then asked him to be polite when he shoved it out of his way?

Nope, I didn't say that.

Very few things justify violence.

She had no right to tell him to be polite when she impolitely left her cart blocking other people's way

Jeez, there are some crazy people out there, dude. They go nuts at someone at the least little thing. What about that Swiss guy last week who kicked the female Thai doctor and verbally abused her for sitting down on ‘his’ steps?
And even if the Thai woman had been rude to him, is that a reason to beat her up and put her in the hospital for a month?

There are rumours she started the violence by hitting him in the back of the head with a bottle.

No I'm not. You are jumping to conclusions and being all dramatic. The story doesn't make sense. Guys don't bash random women in shopping centres for no reason. Something happened which triggered him.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

I learned that in elementary school.
