A Thai woman has filed a police report against her Austrian husband, claiming he physically assaulted her. The 53 year old woman, named only as Ms Neng, filed her report at Nongprue Police Station in Chon Buri on Wednesday, March 27.

Court acquits protesters involved in 2008 seizure of Don Mueang airport

The Criminal Court ordered the acquittal today of 67 members of the now defunct political pressure group known as the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), after finding them not guilty on multiple charges related to the seizure of Don Mueang airport, from November 24 until December 3, 2008, in an attempt to force the resignation of then Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat.

HUNDREDS of Myanmar workers refused to let rescuers enter a factory construction site in Rayong after a tower crane collapsed killing seven workers and injured many others as they demanded 5 million baht compensation for each of their colleagues killed, Matichon newspaper said this evening (Mar. 29).

The driver of a Ferrari miraculously escaped with no injuries after crashing into a canal off Prasert-Manukitch Road in Bangkok. The incident occurred around 10.37am today shortly after the luxury sports car had been taken for a test drive following repairs.

South Korean and Taiwanese arrested on fraud charges

Immigration police have arrested a South Korean in Pattaya, who is wanted in his own country on fraud charges. Police have also arrested a Taiwanese woman in Bangkok, wanted in Taiwan for allegedly cheating 88 Taiwanese investors of about 608 million baht in real estate investments in Thailand.

Rescue teams finally allowed to recover bodies of crane collapse victims in Rayong

After hours of negotiation, workers at a construction site in Rayong’s Pluak Daeng district, where a crane collapsed and killed seven people yesterday, have allowed the police and rescue teams to retrieve the bodies of their dead colleagues.
