    • I don't care. I set the temperature the way I like it and I pay what I have to pay. I don't care about a couple of thousand THB.

    • I try not to waste electricity. If I go out for an hour, I make sure to switch off the AC. Maybe I set it to higher temperature than I would really like to have.

    • I only use the AC if I really have to. And then I set it on a relative high temperature so that it won't use much electricity.

This year, like in the years before, we always have threads about the high temperature and the high electricity bills because the AC is doing overtime, etc.

Personally, I don't want to pay more for electricity than necessary. But if I want 22 degrees, then I set it to 22 degrees and be happy and pay a little more at the end of the month.

How about you?

22* would be too cool for me, 27* with its blower on full does the job.

Since this heat wave, the fridge freezer and a single A/C in my bedroom, few fans, has put up the bill by around 60%...🤗

Though can't complain, if the power went off, it would be a nightmare at my place..🥵

Of course i voted the last one as i am the extreme chrap charlie in thailand.

Just checking.........🤗

I don't use the aircon .

It would be annoying having to pay heating bills in the UK and aircon bills in Thailand both at the same time

As usual my option isn't there. I set mine at 27⁰ in the evening for the night ahead, the AC usually moves between 25-26.5⁰ easily cold enough, need a duvet. Bills under 1k so far

Why don't you turn the aircon down and then not need a duvet ?

My electricity bill im not worried about, what Im worried about is how the heat restrict my freedom, and force me to sit inside in aircon rooms.

So Im bailing out of thailand and make new plans to stay longer in Norway.

I was going to build a new outside insulated larger garden room with my gym and also more like a wintergarden we used to have in the old days back home with large two glass insulated windows and full solar power off grid, but now  rather invest in a larger property in Norway and create a new business. Going from semi retired back to working full time 8 months a year.

The best months in thailand is november to end of february.

I find the optimum temperature needs a duvet, body temperature seems to drop during the night also

Yep.

And if you have clingy spouse she will attact to you at night like an Alien and make your body sweat even if the aircon is set at 25

That's why I set the AC at night to 22 degrees. Cuddle-time.

I wouldn't want to sleep with one anymore, separate beds or condos preferably

Keep our ACs set @ 26-28°C, 24/7 in bedroom (13k BTU), and only daytime (0800-1730) for the other living area (24k BTU).

Without the EVs, we use 600-800kWh / PEA units a month.
