Looks interesting,  how much are the selling for?

I think the slices were  around THB135. The Vintage and Tasty blocks were THB 240.

That's pretty good... in line with what NZ Mainland cheese is selling for.

I'll check them out next time I go to makro.  Cheers

ARO have gone in to cheese.

Tried the Gouda and Edam slices which were fine and yesterday saw they now have Tasty and Vintage blocks. Bought a Vintage at Makro but yet to try.

Most likely they are the same product as what is already available with a brandname, but they buy in bulk and get a discount

It's the 'crumbly' type (Cheshire or Lancashire) that I crave!

Villa Market sell both in Pattaya plus Wensleydale. All are what I call semi-crumbly but certainly tasty.

What is the attraction with crumbling cheese? I don't eat any Brit cheeses, as they are not tasteful in my opinion, but when my Gouda or Edammer start to crumble i throw them in the bin

Excellent for toasted cheese/cheese on toast or cold on sandwiches, all with a good twist of fresh ground black pepper. I find them very tasty too.

I hope you don't throw it away because it's grown mould?

You won't like Lancashire then.

Or crumbled Danish blue cheese on a haggis pizza. Boladh géar as they say north of the Trossachs.

You'll thank me for it.

Bought some earlier this week, First time I've seen it, slightly stronger than Mainland Vintage, and a tad less crumbly. At 190bht for 500g it's very good value for money, well it would be if I didn't like eating it so much. Different shape pack to Mainland, thinner and longer/wider.

It is quality New Zealand cheese from a Mainland competitor.  On special at Marko  now at 199 baht for the 470g block.  Good value.

Try this place I found some good cheeses there it’s not that far

Interesting place.  Was there (Jartisaan Cheeserie) last week with several friends, had lunch (everything was very good), and bought some of the cheese that they made.  Took us a while to find the place but well worth the visit.

I love very strong cheddar cheese and used to buy the Epicure version of, I think it was Mainland Cheese, at Rimping Markets. However, a small chunk (200g ?) cost over 200 baht. The Gecko Garden on Sridonchai Road near Pantip Plaza  has several excellent cheeses for sale as well as real butter (from New Zealand I think), and coldcuts at very attractive prices. They have a crumbly English cheddar, very sharp and very tasty, for about 400 baht per kilo. They sell gouda and feta cheese also.

I had eaten there once in while over the years but since I learned they also sell cheese and butter, I always buy those items there.

The same cheese at Makro for 279 baht but then 470gr or Aro house brand slighty cheaper sometimes, but same cheeses as Mainland

Last weekend Big C, Panthip Plaza, Night bazaar had all the Mainland varieties including Vintage on half price special. 250 gram blocks for 119.50 baht. Had a fair supply of each variety.

Don't know if the offer is still on or if they have any left.

Don't ever be tempted to buy Makro's "horeca" cheese, even for cooking, it's rubbish.

Vintage aged cheddar is the most tasty, also crumbly, as water is released during the aging process.

Tasty is softer, younger.

Jartisan cheeses are not sold in Makro.  Central Group outlets, eg Tops, GoWholesale, stock their varieties.
